Have you seen the Stadium of Light empty? It looks f***ing dreadful.

They got a paltry 16,777 through the gates for their recent home tie against Southampton. They got more in the previous 2 rounds at home to Carlisle and Kidderminster.

There were only 12,000 there. What Coventry would give for 12,000 Home gates now. They play 'Home' matches at Northampton and their last 'Home' match attracted just over 1,600.

Yes, but they take thousands to away games. I think its their way of protesting against what has happened to them.

This is assuming we stay in the PL. Average gates in the Championship were around 14500/15000

Yes, that's right.
At least they have had their transfer embargo lifted and I think they currently have 4 players on Loan.
Their young striker Callum Wilson has real potential and of course could be sold in the summer.

Pointless building anything unless Palace can stay up for at the very least 3 seasons in the PL

Yeah, being a London club I just don't think we'll ever get the big crowds unless we become established in the Premier League for a good few years. We're not a 'one city, one club' team obviously. Pointless having a bigger stadium unless you can fill it. We're more appealing to the general South/Greater Londoner than Millwall and Charlton because we're a better club on and off the pitch, but so many London kids who's families aren't already Palace just get lost to Arsenal and Chelsea, not to mention Man U etc. A bigger future really is dependent upon being successful on the pitch and the money to compete.

im for a 40,000 seater that we can grow into, think big, no point spending money on something that we ultimately will grow out of if we are to be a realy big club and if we can get planning i say go for it cos another council might not approve in a few years !

like hastings idea, have top section closed in sections with advertising sheet hanging down if we had space, in these days its all about tv money and advertising space, not realy about ticket revenue! build the 40000 seater with scope to put big boards in place to earn lots of advertising and take it down when we fill stadium, like the 2015 last game of season, beating man u to win title !

Because of the area Palace is in there is huge potential but I think we'd only get 40k+ once we've been in the Prem for a few years.

Right now, I think we could fill 30 - 35k if there wasn't a CAT A and B policy or anything.

Think about how quickly we sold 40,000 at Wembley.
