I think a 442 is needed to nullify their possession, they are a possession team obviously so we will need to break up play often.

This is how I'd like us to set up, although I feel Pulis will favour Ince on the wing and Murray up top with Chamack like at United. Hopefully Pulis' will give Murray a rest and let Ince have a more central role, simply because Swansea are a more beatable side than United and it could be more beneficial to play a more positive side, let someone like Ince with fresh legs grab us an early goal before subbing on Murray and slowing the game down.

Whatever I said, whatever I did, I didn't mean it, I just want Chamack for good.

Murray needs to be resigned to the bench, he aint quick enough particularly when not fully match fit.

Speroni
Ward Delaney Gabbidon Parr

Ledley Jedinak

Bolasie Bannon Ince

Chamakh

Bannon is by far the most creative midfielder we have had this year and his set pieces are the best, Bolasie scares the f*** out of defences and makes sure the fullbacks dont push on, and Ince needs another game but looks dangerous in the box when with the ball.

Couldn't disagree more. What Murray needs right now is games. You don't get match fit by sitting on the bench.

And it's Bannan.

we dont have time to give someone a pre season, im assuming you dont see many games, but against United Murray was off the pace, we looked a much better side when we had Jerome and Bolasie on the pitch. Murray needs a few more games with u21s, he hasnt played since May and never in the Premiership , too many unknowns for this critical time of the season. stick with what got us to where we are now.
Not doubting his ability just his ability to hit the ground running!

Bad assumption - i've seen every game this season. Most of them twice.

I don't actually think he looked that far off the pace at all. He might not do as much aimless running around as Jerome does....but then that's largely because aimless running around is all Jerome's got. The best strikers don't have to run around a lot as it's all about making the right runs and being in the right position. Murray's volleyed effort against united was class...that's all i needed to see.

I'm perfectly happy to agree to disagree, by the way So all is good.

Against United, someone to properly hassle the defenders like Jerome could have worked, we saw how shaky they were in the Champions League.

Ward --- Delaney --- Dann --- Parr

Ledley --- Jedinak

Ince ----- Chamakh ----- Bolasie

Murray

Run at their defense; force an error, draw a foul. Ledley has license to carry the ball forward, with Jedinak sat breaking up play.

I also think Ledley will be more effective further forward as he carries a real goal threat.

I would not play Mariappa at full back. Against Swansea's wingers, their main source of creativity, we need our best players in their best positions.
