I had suggested Jelavic before the 'Transfer Window' opened but unfortunately he went to Hull.Think he went for £5.25 Mill rising to £6.25 Mill.Obviously I don't know his wages.

Pulis did quite well in the January market but his decision to not get a new striker may cost us as we approach the hardest run of games. Murray works hard but he doesn't have the technical skill to score goals in the PL. Chamakh is not a natural goal scorer. Jerome isn't good enough. Gayle seems to be useless (at least at the moment). As much as I hate saying this, Steve Bruce did exactly the right thing by bringing in Jelavic and Long and developing a good strike force. They say that a team is only as good as their strikers and on that basis,we face a real struggle to survive.

I think he has the technical skill to score goals but at the moment is just a few yards off the pace which is entirely understandable.

He has great ball control, the ability to hold up play, can lay the ball off accurately, and in due course, I hope ( and don't we all) that he will find himself with some scoring opportunities.

Murray looked really good yesterday - He'll get goals sooner than later.

Murray will be fine provide him with crosses and he will score.

Showed some great touches yesterday.

Agree as that is what he thrives on.

A stockbroker urged me to buy a stock that would triple its value every year. I told him, at my age, I don't even buy green bananas!

Get Bolasie starting ahead of Puncheon and he'll get the service he needs.

I love Yannick and unlike a lot on here love the showboating, confidence and carefree way in which he plays, but at the moment he isn't a starter for this side.
Maybe it's the fact he had no pre season and missed the start of the season, but he has only really showed his real ability when used as a sub. Whenever he's started he just hasn't been able to terrify his fullback consistently, so for now, in my eyes he has to remain an impact sub.
As for the buying of a forward, which one should we have bought that was guaranteed to score while fitting in with our wage budget? Unfortunately we are going to have to keep playing a fairly negative style and rely on winning by 1 goal until next season at least. Strangely if we do survive it will be because of our much maligned defence.

What a pile of rubbish. Murray is still not fully match fit, chamakh when he gets a chance has a high conversion rate - give me these 2 over long and jellyfish everytime. We were playing the current league champions they were playing a side that already looks doomed.

To tally agree about Glenn and also believe we will see much more of him, a decent striker will score at almost any level and Murray is decent striker. I think Chamakh's conversion rate is more down to laying off rather than shooting when he has the chance but given his overall contribution I would moe than forgive him that.

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).
