IMO Chamakh played really well. Oozed class and battled for everything - shame his enthusiasm got the better of him. It was just one of those things - and nothing Jules could have done to save RVP's spot-kick

Chamakh was excellent, and looked like him and Murray were on the same wavelength. They'll make a good partnership. Even Jerome looked good, and forced a really good save moments after coming on.

Think Vidic all over Jedi at every set piece was more worrying.......and the Ref warned him about it,and still gave nothing.

Mate, you have that the wrong way round, Jedi played that perfectly....

Yep, Jedi was 'marking' their keeper at corners, a tactic often used against us but something we ourselves dont normally do. Vidic was trying to stop Jedi standing in front of their keeper. Jedi did this really well. The ref couldn't give anything against Vidic as you cannot give a pen wnen the ball isn't in play. the pushing and shoving was happpening before the corner was taken.

The best bit was Jedi, as mentioned, played it perfectly and generally had a look of "I'm just standing here, I'm not doing anything wrong". It wasn't as bad as I have seen that tactic used, like Celtic against Barca in the group stages.

Chamakh got 4/10 in the paper and I thought that was generous! He's lightweight, falls over, can't pass and made a suicide tackle for the penalty.

You got 1 out of 4. It was a clumsy tackle.

Strikers challenge, Evra was looking for it really. An experienced midfielder or defender in that position usually won't make the mistake. But when you have a forward defending, its always a risk.

Clumsy, but was never a penalty as it was outside the box and if you look at Evra after his 100th turn he slows down and looks at the ref.

Once again Man Utd have to cheat.

NO, it was a penalty !

It was on the line, the referee had a great view of it and I don't recall any mass complaints from our players !

Not a penalty - Chamakh has a reputation for easily going down in the box. I remember him diving at the Southampton game, trying to win a cheap penalty when he should have just scored. Same thing against West Brom - my first instinct was that it wasn't a penalty as it looked like a carbon copy of the Southampton incident - the replay showed it was one of those that could be given if the ref is generous. If he were a natural goal scorer, he would have just put the ball in the net without the need to go down.

Redpalace said it all. If Chemakh was a natural goal scorer there would never be a need for him to go down. But the previous criticism of him because a newspaper gives him 4/10. Well that's the opinion of a newspaper who sells to a public constantly reared on the values of the few, its not a surprise. Check the match out, Champers was very credible. A true Palace supporter would not need the skewed view of a paper to formulate an opinion on one of Palace's best players.

One of our best players? you need a trip to specsavers! I was at the game and completely agree with the media ratings on Chamakh. He doesn't have a clue when he's on the ball and tamely passes it like a rabbit caught in headlights! that's if he doesn't fall over first!
