Teams near the bottom always seem to pick up more points towards the end of the season, so all games will be tough.

We need to improve our away record as I can't see us keep winning at home.

It'll be close but I think we'll do it - just. And I think 39 points is what we'll end on.

After yesterday's games, some interesting facts and stand out run ins.

Sunderland have away games at Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Man C, Man U, Norwich and Spurs.

Norwich last 4 games are Liverpool Man U (h) Chelsea Arsenal (h)

W Ham last 4 games are CPFC (h) WBA Spurs (h) Man C

CPFC only has Everton and Newcastle away in remaining 7 away games - the rest are at Swansea, Sunderland, Cardiff, West Ham and Fulham.

We have this in our destiny to survive (and hopefully by the time we play West Ham).

I think you've missed the most important factor and that is our home games. Take a look at you will see we have a very tough run in. I think it will be close but if we can pick up a couple of away wins then I would hope we could survive.

Exactly. We have only picked up a point against top half teams this season and only have Villa in bottom half to come to SP. So either we start beating top teams at home or drastically improve our away form!

As a for instance; if we can get another 11pts(3 wins,2 draws, very do-able,8 W 2 D so far) from the remaining games that puts us on 37pts. Therefore all the teams below us at the moment will have to do better than we do! So,Fulham will have to get 18pts(5 wins,3 draws-6 W 2D so far)Cardiff 17pts(5wins 2 draws-5 W 6 D so far) West Brom 15pts(4 wins 3 draws-4 W 11 D so far)and Sunderland 13pts(4 wins 1 draw-6 W 6 D so far)all to finish above us. There are a few "6 pointers" in the mix; Palace v Sunderland,Cardiff,Fulham. West Brom v Fulham,Sunderland,Cardiff. Sunderland v Cardiff,W Brom and Us. Cardiff v Us, Sunderland,W Brom. And that's not including one or two others that could be struggling. So I believe it's gonna be tight but the onus is on the others to better than they have so far this season and for us to do worse, which, with the set-up at Palace,I can't see happening! Ollie's Dad,Ash.

I think we are cooling ourselves that the lower teams will be easier, they are also fighting relegation and will be compact whereas the flair teams do so by opening up play..so other than city and Chelsea at home I think we could do well, away I think will be hard at Sunderland, west ham and Cardiff, but I do think we will stay up and I can't fooking wait to party!!

I think Sunderland's resurgence will fizzle out and they'll implode. Fulham will improve but not enough and Cardiff won't click.

Potentially West Brom and Naaaaarwich to bomb too. Still not too sure Wet Spam are safe either.

I think (hope) we'll be ok. Just.

My concern is cardiff will stay up and permanently sign wilf.
AS long as Moyes is at united I cannot see wilf having a future there

We all know it's going to be tighter than a duck's a**e and we will likely need something from our last game away at Fulham.
I rckon 37 points will keep us safe so can we get 11 between now and then?
Certainly we need some away wins at the likes of Sunderland to give us a chance - that is our only hope in my opinion.
Also I can't see us taking points off United, City, Chelsea or Liverpool at home and so Villa and Southampton are again must win games.
It will be fun if nerve wracking but I would rather have Tony Pulis at the helm than any of the other Managers around us except maybe Gus (the turd) Poyet who is also doing a good job at Sunderland.
Keep 'em coming!

On the RedNBlueArmy.co.uk Facebook page they've posted the table below. It shows Palace's form under Pulis but I think it shows something far more important.

Take a look at the form of the bottom three over the same period as Pulis has managed Palace and it makes for scary viewing for their fans.

Roughly a point a game should see you safe over a season, Pulis had a big catch up to do but he has made it. As long as we carry on averaging that we should be ok, I think we will do better.

amazing achievement!
I said at the start of the season that from 38 games, 38 points will keep us up.

I still think that will be the case, but the Palace fan in me says lets clear 40 to be safe.

Pulis has been absolutely masterful when it comes to beating the bottom-half sides. If we can 3 tidy 1-0 wins from those 6-pointer away games we'll be fine, and the home games against the top sides shouldn't be too much of a hindrance.
