For me Dann and Gabbs are the partnership, but I can see TP getting the younger duo together rather than the older DG. I've just been incredibly ageist. I feel good.

The win today makes it 9 points from our last 3 home games, am absolutely buzzing! 3 new signings played who i was very impressed with: ................ Scott Dann: To be honest I don't remember much from the way he played this game (which is probably a good thing since he is a centre back!!). Seemed good in the air and could form a good partnership with Delaney. Well done Pulis looks like we have got some very good additions this window. Great win today with hopefully more to come! What was everyone else's thoughts on the players today? My thoughts exactly on Danns Ince, looks a really useful addition, and excited about Ledley (not sure why, strong and intelligent I reckon) Can't believe Guedioura can't even get on the bench, and Bannan barely gets on the pitch.. I reckon we have a strong enough squad to see us through.

Ince-- Nice way to introduce himself! Was very impressed with how dangerous he was with and without the ball and looks like a million well spent! Ledley-- That was one of the better headers I've seen in a long time. How many times have we seen those kinda of whipped in crosses miss the target completely? Looking forward to watching him play his natural position. Danns-- Early days. Fingers crossed TP turns him into a rock in defense. Looked a step slow but new surroundings maybe we was just trying to get the feel of being in a new situation.

Ince - Great debut, good goal, plenty of skill and a lot of hard work - the latter point coming as a bit of a surprise to me. Good signing and, should we stay up, hopefully on a long term contract from July. Ledley - Very intelligent, an okay left back but far, far better in midfield. He makes space for himself and went unnoticed for his goal. Not too many teams expect the oppositions left back to be on the near post for a corner taken from the right. Dann - Looked okay but understandably still at an early stage in getting an understanding with DD. This was the reason we were more shaky than usual at the back but I have no doubt he will become a very good signing. Murray - Well he seems like a new signing to me. Stood up and applauded the TV as he came on - great moment.

If Ledley can speed up and Dann gives way to the better Gabbidon and Ince knows where he is, we can expect Murray 'Minty' to score a whole lot more soon.

Can't wonder why Ledley was positioned at 'Left Back' for the Baggies match. Everyone on here has mentioned it's not his natural position. Don't we have at least 2 adequate Left Back defenders already who aren't injured. It just seems an odd choice when Ledley hadn't even played a competitive match with the team and his knowledge of the players around him are limited. I'm not knocking it because it turned out to be a good decision to put him there. Having said that I would have put him in a more natural position for him in these early games. I'm not TP though lol.

Ince was good - a bit lightweight but he plans to hit the gym apparently, other than that he stepped up well. Ledley looked ok but I also thought it strange he was LB and reserve judgement until he plays in midfield. Didn't think Dann did any better than Gabbidon, who didn't deserve to lose his place. Nice look of depth about the squad especially when you consider that Guedioura and Williams didn't even make the bench.
You'll be forever in my family's memories and it was an honor and privilege to play and lead in the red and blue |
