I just knew that the first posts in response to this excellent news would confirm just why we need an anti-homophobia campaign. Well done guys on making the point.

The suffix 'phobia' implies fear or hatred. What people are objecting to is piss-taking, which is neither.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Wonder which fan snuck up the back and stuck the banner up.
Couldn't imagine the HF doing anything similar.
Perhaps someone can organise a Cup cake sale to raise money to get a banner. Or would they prefer fairy cakes?

you meant that didn't you?

Couldn't resist.
I did scan the photo to try and identify who put the banner up and have gone for the guy whose head is next to the B in the banner.

No reason, unless they're gay and they want to come out.

Why shouldn't they?

Not sure that a football forum is the wisest or most cerebral place to invoke change for the better, but just keep in mind that eroding the rights of others to live in peace eventually erodes your own. I'm as guilty as others in making cheap jokes at the expense of gays, but I defend their right to live as they do and to love another person as we might love a person of the opposite sex. Cue the obvious mindless comments!
