I'm just surprised everyones left out gabbidon for Dann rather than Delaney.

Plus i do really hope Bannan makes it in this palace team, he for me has been one of our brightest sparks.

Interested to hear why so many people would drop our best centre back (Gabbidon)?

Yep. Don't reckon either Gabbs or Delaney will be dropped: many clean sheets together and neither at fault for either goal on Monday.

I am also still to be convinced by Puncheon. I thought he reverted to his lazy whingeing self of his first set of games with us on Monday night. He had me throwing things at the TV again on numerous occasions.

So for me:-

--------Speroni-------
ward--Gabbidon--Delaney--Parr

----Jedinak---Ledley---

Bannan----Guediora-----Ince

--------Chamakh-------

Subs: Hennessey, Mariappa, Dann, Williams, O'Keefe, Jerome, Gayle.

Sorry, meant Sunday night. Watched on Monday here and after 11 years around the other side of the world, the time differences still scoobie me.

We have the opportunity with our new signings to create a more attacking threat. I believe this needs to be deployed, especially at home to bottom half of the table teams. I would go for:

Speroni

Ward...Delqaney...Gabbidon...Parr

Guerdiora...Jedinak...Ledley

Ince...Puncheon

Chamakh

Subs: Hennessy; Dann; Digakoi; Bannan; Bolasie; Jerome; Gayle (or Murray if fit enough).

Guediora and Ledley are both capable midfielders but always keen to get forward. Ince and Puncheon should be pushing to get up in support of Chamakh so he will not be isolated as the front man which happened earlier in the season.

Can Chamakh play up front on his own: I had always assumed not?

Why can't people spell 'definitely'?

Regrettably, after WBA we don't actually have any home games left against bottom half opposition.

The current league positions of our home opponents is 7th, 9th, 3rd, 10th, 2nd, 4th.

I think Ince might be the only one of the new boys to start Saturday, replacing YB.

Centre-back partnerships are vital, and neither Gabbidon or Delaney have done anything to deserve being dropped at the moment, so I'd expect that settled combination to continue for such an important game. Dann might come in against Everton, and I think Gabbidon might struggle with 2 games in 5 days at this stage of the season.

Re the midfield, I think he'll stick with KG. Doesn't set the world alight, but is Jedi's best partnership. Must remember Ledley is coming to us from a very different league in terms of pace and quality of opposition. I think he'll start on the bench and come on 2nd half for a taster.

I'm sure TP will be aware of the mess IH made trying to bring in too many too quickly. Therefore, I think the Everton game is more realistic for Ince, Ledley and Dann to be in the same starting line-up.
