I was helping out with the palace guards and Paddy used to take his son up there. I had numerous chats with him and showed him the ffs Murray you tube vid. He thought it was quality.

Whilst I was working in Gatwick duty free I saw Williams, Gayle and a couple of others when they went off to Portugal. Tried to sell Williams some Ray bans but didn't have the model he wanted. Best day at work ever!


What did you say to him? Did you talk about Palace or was you strictly professional?

Told him I was at the play off final and told him he's great really. Maybe if I focussed on the sunglasses more I would have got the sale...

Met John Salako in my local restaurant I work at part time a few months ago. Melted at first but plucked the courage to say hello. He was with his family and was pretty pissed up, and was actually a really approachable fella. Asked me about what games I've been to, what I think of the players at the moment, my best memories at Selhurst etc..
I dropped in that my Dad's favorite memory of him was his goal against Forest in '91 - which brought an enormous smile to his face!
He said he still loves the club, and has "Many many happy memories there", which is always nice.
Anyway, grabbed a photo, got an autograph and then called him a cab! Wicked night at work!

Was our Yannick running speedily down the platform whilst ducking in and out between the other commuters but sadly missed the train! Ollie's Dad,Ash.

I'm consider myself to be a good people person and usually have no problem saying hello and meeting people but when it comes to footballers the words don't come out and Haha, it went well mate, had an interview for an apprenticeship with affinity sutton, charmed the boots off them I'll just have to wait and see if I get it ay?

I work in their Bromley office in IT!!! So good luck mate... it's a good place to work

I've met a few players over the years (my dad talks to a lot of them) Simon Rodger and Gareth Davis were really nice guys. Was worried when my dad first intoduced me to him (Crazy Welsh Guy) but couldn't have been nicer!

Cheers mate, I was going to apply for an apprenticeship position there in IT! Decided against being put on the short list as I felt it wasn't for me, so I went for the London based one instead. Small world ain't it?
