Fair enough they're world class defenders however they had a rather relaxed day which they shouldn't!

No the Aresenal defence worked their socks off too and completely neutralised our counter-attack. Wenger had obviously studied our games at Etihad and SB. Clever bloke - a reason Arsenal are top and still in the Champions League with half their team in the treatment room.

We were outplayed and in games like that our mid range strikers are going to stand in stark contrast to their £multi-million array of internationals. Jerome had nothing to chew on. He missed one chance? Big deal! He would have had more chances had he had more supply from the flanks. Punch and Bolasie both appeared rubbish - but even there I think that was as much to do with the quality of the opposition and the tactics they adopted.

We have been spoilt by some good performances in recent months. Sometimes, as difficult as it is to accept, we are going to play teams that play much better than us. Blaming one striker who was fed nothing is plain silly.

I watched it on tv but i have to say that i also thought Cameron's effort seemed to be really lacking.

Im not too fussed about the misses, i thought the diving header was a tight chance that fell late

But for the most part he was just standing around not pressing defenders or finding space to be found by his team mates and i found that really annoying

Shame as i was at Selhurst on Tuesday night and he was fantastic

Yes I wonder if that took it out of him, he just looked out of energy, and Chamakh was sitting further back as well so he was quite isolated... I sometimes wonder whether a forward that is required to run around all afternoon continually pressing defenders, can have the same sharpness than one that spends a bit more time in offensive mode with better quality service (and before people jump down my throat, I don't expect him to stand around all match)

With the exception of the two performances against Hull, home and away. I don’t think he has done enough – he is meant to be playing the role of a tall target man and 90% of the balls played to him in the air he doesn’t even collect, a lot of times he doesn’t even jump for and instead gambles on it going past the defender. Also in instances when Bolasie, Chamakh or Puncheon drive forwards his movement off the ball is amateurish at best.

He is pretty rapid so maybe they should trying putting the ball beyond him and the defender and give him a chance by making them race for the ball, not sure what the solution is to get more out of him, but I would prefer to see Gayle start ahead of him based on current system and performances.

Don't think CJ is the man to lead the line in a team struggling to stay up. For all his running he's just not a good enough footballer to deserve a place in a PL team. Whatever system the manager use. Just my opinion.

If we had a better option he would have less chance of being picked that a one eyed fat ginger kid at an adoption home (I saw that somewhere so have been waiting to work it in)

He works hard but thats just not good enough as we need goals as well as hard work

I thought he had a ok game yesterday? We clearly went there for a 0-0 draw, he had no support. If anyone wants slating for their performance yesterday then it's Puncheon!

Jerome is only filling the space until we have a fully fit Murray, he'll be back soon smashing them in for us. He will be our saviour and our hero.

Isolated all game, even the likes of Benteke would have struggled yesterday. He's good enough against the lower teams to keep them worried, yesterday I think a better combination would have been Chamakh and Guediora behind. Guediora might have tracked Chamberlin better for the first goal.

Bit of a double edged sword here. Against the average teams with average defenders he can work both centre backs by basically running around a lot and putting himself about.

Against Mertesacker and Koscielny, who have IMO been the best centre back partnership in the Premier League this season, you cannot just get by on that. He isn't as quick as Koscielny and isn't as strong as Mertesacker. If you're looking to nick a goal you need to play someone that can actually finish, and that is not Jerome, I'm afraid. A decent Premier League striker should be finishing that chance.

Jerome has been blasting chances wide all season I'm afraid . He has spent most of his time at Palace looking skywards and rolling his eyes .Not impressed at all . The only memorable thing he has done all season is lay on the goal for Bannen

When we play top teams that one chance has got to go in. Jerome has had a good run in the starting eleven Gayle deserves the same starting v West Brom.
