I thought that in general we did well today. As mentioned by other posters Punch looked like he lacked a bit of confidence today and Yannick, as much as I like to see him play still does not do the basics of the game at the right time. Thought Bolasie (being a boyhood Arsenal fan) seemed a bit star struck by te occasion. Shame as he is capable of better and he will be replaced by Ince very soon.

Personally can see Jerome getting the chopp and either punch or ince playing behind chammers

Bolasie whose attitude, commitment and naivete I love, does look out of place to me. He'll do dell, initially, with a run but then the number of times he'll spoil it all by hot-headedly hoofing the ball nowhere and conceding possession. It's not like he hasn't had time to learn the lesson. He just keeps making the same mistake. That is the sign, imo, of a player who isn't progressing. I have a feeling that he'll have trouble keeping his place now that Ince is here. im one of Bolasies biggest fans, but if im honest at this level he would be far more effective as a impact sub, to run at tired fullbacks he will the have more time hopefuly stop panicking and make the rite decisions.

I thought Balasie gave it a way far too much throughout the game & second half Punch went missing,we definately miss him when he is not firing. But your right generally too many below par today, On the plus side barring Everton we have now played all the top teams away from home, Think we have to write this one off, and look forward to the new recruits blending in over the next week & three points on Saturday

Back from the game-- Palace showed great spirit but some of our players were not at the races today,KG was poor and will be replaced by Ledley,Balasie was wasteful and will be replaced by Ince,Puncheon was completely out of sorts and Speroni could have done better with Arsenals second goal so Hennesseys turn might come sooner rather than later

.Oh for a fit GM! No guarantee of course that Murray will be our saviour. He will be returning after a long lay off and he has never played in the Premier League.

Good game. Massive ask to beat them at home with their defending. I thought KG was out of place at times, Bolasie and Puncheon had sloppy games. A+ fan support!

i agree, why do we give away goals at the start of the second half ? Not so much given away as a brilliant piece of play by one of the best teams in the league.

I actually thought we were poor in relation to recent performances. We made more mistakes at the back than I have seen for some time. Yes I do appreciate Arsenal have some world class players but Manchester City also have a few of those and we were better against them. The bottom line though is that I am upset we lost a game that three months ago I would have been expecting a 5-0 drubbing. We have come such a long way so quickly and with our new signings plus GM almost ready to return I am expecting us to climb another rung on the ladder.

For me Chamakh was the standout player yesterday, had some lovely skills and managed to beat his man well on a few occasions and gain space and time to turn on goal. If Chamakh was getting better service he would definitely be getting more goals. Right now its a situation where he drops deap and leads the attack from a much deeper position though, so his scoring positions are generally compromised as a result. I thought outside of Chamakh, no one had a great game in particular although Ward played well as always I thought. For me the two players that did look poor today were Puncheon and Bolassie today. Bolassie running wildly into the Arsenal backline, it was valiant and brave but ultimately not going anywhere. And Puncheon had a bad day, the two worst moments for me was misplacing a 5 yard pass out in to touch, and then recieving the ball on the byline and letting it go through his feet and out. Those were two really poor moments where we lost possession in counter attacking positions. We lost to the top of the league, and personally I thought both goals were very well worked and couldn't really complain about either.
