If rumours are true where the hell did we get £3 million to buy a back up keeper?

Surely that money could have been better spent elsewhere?

Like the food in the Holmesdale...

Rumoured to be 500k-1m upfront.

I understand people saying that surely this is a signing for the summer, but if the opportunity knocks and all that. If we did get him a million or less, we would struggle to find a keeper at his level for that price elsewhere, whether that be in the summer or now.

can't understand this.

Surely we need players who are going to play immediately - so Dann, Ince and Ledley if they are sign make sense to me (not saying they would be my 3 choices, but i can see Pulis's logic).

However, Speroni is surely our No1 for the rest of this season, so why waste money on another goalie.

If it's one for the future buy in the summer when we know what division we are in.

Incidentally, good shot stopper but not great at crosses - regardless of his size.

I completely agree really surprised that we've brought in a keeper at this stage of the season.Thought the summer would be a much better time to sign cover in the positions in which we were already strong. The money would have been better spend on a forward i think.

I don't think Pulis really rates Speroni that much, I can see Hennessey being the number 1 keeper.

I don't know how much we paid, but in last night's paper it quoted 3m, you don't pay that type of money for a keeper to warm the bench.

Sorry but when has Price ever let us down ? Calling a loyal servant of the club who's never let us down a waste of space is pretty disgusting.

Very good signing, Jules contract up soon so wont be able to hold the club to ransom, Whilst Jules is a good shot stopper he isn't very commanding in the box.

Nice big bench warmer who can learn by watching Jules.

Makes sense. Imagine what would have happened if Jules picked up an injury! We have been very lucky that he has been in form and injury free so far this season. We now have proper premiership quality cover in goal - whether that's Speroni or Hennessey.

£3m for Wolves' third-choice goalkeeper? Hmm.....

They are popping open the champagne on the Wolves forums, they can't believe they are getting so much money for an injury-prone reserve.

To be fair some of them think he is potentially worth more, but that's they key isn't? 'Potential'.

I love Speroni (who doesn't) well maybe Pulis doesn't, but considering his deal runs out at the end of the season it looks like Wayne H is our keeper for the long term.

If this is sadly the end of Julian's CPFC career he must be played in every game until the end of the season.

Jules is coming to the end of his Palace career, it makes sense to get someone in sooner rather than later. I doubt we paid anywhere close to £3 million but could do so if he makes enough appearances.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.
