They are going to gamble that we can stay up with what we have - so that money can go else where - if we manage to pull this off - great - another set of premiership money to come in and all is good.

Or, deals fell through as players/agents wanted more.

Or, the deals just haven't been done yet.

From what i have seen so far of Pulis - i would trust and back him and have a clause that if relegation happened, certain wages would be offloaded.

Thing is, do we want palace to gamble with what we have, or gamble by getting people in. Either one could work or equally fail.

Let's see, we don't have cup games to disrupt us, we have players coming back from injury and a new 25 man squad to name.

We need one proven goal scorer, that's my advice.

This is Cinderella land, but the two 'new' signings I would most like to see are FFS and PaddyMac

Paddy really? He was just about good enough for the championship two years ago. Can't see him making much of an impact myself. Bench cover at best I suspect.

Glenn Murray will not be like a new signing..he isnt likely to be ready for a place until at least end of Feb and then he will need time to adjust to the PL pace both mentally as well as physically.

Glenn Murray will not be 'Glenn Murray' until next season.

Silly thread

Regarding Paddy McCarthy coming back, I'm more interested to see the standard of Jack Hunt. If he's good enough to play at right back, it would give us the option of putting Joel Ward in at centre back which is supposedly his preferred position.

I've been reading Cucking's regular swipes at Paddy and his injury and am not sure what Cucking's problem is. He was diagnosed with osteitis pubis which was compounded by the pain killing injection which hit the bone.
I see him on a fairly regular basis as our kids are at school together and can assure you this was much more serious than first thought.
Glad to see him back.

Can verify that above is true. Had set back after set back after that but nothing other than muscle straind ect. Being honest his injury has been a blessing in disguise as Delaney and Gabbidon are on another level to Paddy.

Anyone who thinks Murray will come in and be straight back to his pre-injury form from last season is seriously deluded.

Bad injury, long-term layoff and higher division all mean it will take time for him to get back to where he was, if he ever does.

Hold on Seth, you seem to be talking sense. That is banned during silly seasons...

What makes you think I have a problem with it?

There's a slight possibility that he will find his form and fitness quickly, depends on the individual.

However, I agree that anyone who EXPECTS Murray to come back and hit any sort of form is deluded

He has. The fact that he couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo is more to the point

GM is a player who has spent his entire footballing life outside the top tier and you honestly seem to think that he will somehow seamlessly come back from a career threatening injury and be attuned to a level of football head and shoulders above what he has experienced....daft
