Post of the year!

It explains exactly what we are about. There may be 22 players on the pitch, but only half of them wear Palace shirts.

We are always at our best when we've been written off.

We were doomed when we went up, we were doomed after the first few games. But we've given ourselves a fighting chance. We might well go down, and its likely, but if we do as well in the next 18 as we did in the first 20, we'll stay up.

And we did lose 7 or 8 of those on the bounce.

Thanks for restoring my faith in this site, Jordan! I honestly can't believe how negative people are on here! Whoever was moaning about wilbraham being our back up striker....so what? Arsenal have bendtner as their number 2 striker and they are top of the league.

It's odd how many are saying we WILL go down without signings.

We are currently outside the drop zone with our current squad, and there's no reason to suspect that the players picked up by other sides will drastically change their fortunes.

For what it's worth, I still think we're up against it, but have already achieved what I was hoping for from this season (not being humiliated).

Having said all that, I wouldn't mind a goalscorer or two, and a couple of defenders, please

If we fail to make any signings, it might seem like we are complete doomed but remember this is Crystal Palace, we perform best when our back is against the wall, when we lost Murray our top goalscorer in the Playoffs everybody was laughing at us and they completely wrote us off!

Brighton had a terrific record at home, we had an appalling away record, so therefor we had lost already, completely written off. Brighton supporters partying away as if they'd absolutely walk it.

Ulloa; Brighton's new 2 million quid striker was absolutely on fire and was tipped to absolutely rip us a new one, did he? Did he bollocks, was made to look a slow league 1 player at best by two released defenders that nobody else wanted.

Everybody was just waiting for Brighton to score then 'BAM!!' Wilfried Zaha of all people pulls off a stunning header to make it one nil to the Palace, moments later he completely slays their defence with a terrific turn and fires a rocket like shot into the back of the net much to the disgust of pundits and all things Brighton. The Palace faithful cannot f***ing believe it, they are going absolutely f***ing crazy all around the world!

The underdog had slayed the dragon and now were going to Wembley with an even bigger test against the most deadly strike partnership in the Championship consisting of player of the year Matej Vydra and Troy Deeney both with more than 20 goals each to their names. You guessed it completely written off by pundits and all things Brighton yet again....

They went into this game with pride, courage and valour...

What the 'castoff' Palace players and academy boys displayed on this day was absolutely extraordinary!

It still brings tears to my eyes when I remember the blood, sweat and tears that our boys put into the game that day, these boys loved the club to bits and were putting absolutely everything they can to make sure they repay the club for the faith the club showed in them and oh boy did they repay us, we won! We had won the richest football match in the world due to a penalty in extra time won by our very own Zaha and converted by 39 year old veteran on loan striker Kevin Phillips!

Despite all the 'expert' pundits who predicted us to be bottom of the league, the same pundits who wrote us off in all the playoff games, we were in the Premier League at last after an 8 year absence.

Moral of the story is we play best when we are the underdogs with our backs against the wall, we find ways of upsetting and surprising the football world in so many ways so don't be surprised if we stay up despite making no January signings! These boys will give it their all, blood, sweat and tears! Make no mistake of that!

Come on you Palace!!!

What I love about this post is you completely get the club and sum it all up for me.
I'd much rather we rely on the lads that gave it their all to get us here than some over paid journey men signing up for the pay cheque.

The players we have might be fighting to compete at the top and possibly beyond their abilities but they will fight for this club. Any player involved since and around 2010 cannot help fall in love with this club, we've come a long way and I suspect we will save the best until last.

In 10 years time we will all look back and reflect nostalgically on these past few seasons when the club really felt as one

I'm going to enjoy it whatever happens because the reality is if we do establish ourselves in the prem things will change and not necessarily for the good (just look at the clubs visiting us this season)

Nice one Jordan. The enduring image for me after the play off final was Delaney in tears afterwards - he had the game of his life that day and it meant so much to him.

We'll always upset the odds - it's what we do

You'll be forever in my family's memories and it was an honor and privilege to play and lead in the red and blue
Yours sincerely
