Why do we seem to have such a hard time offloading players. Grandin and Wilbraham should be sold and one of Garvan or Dobbie. We should terminate Blake's contract.

To sell players people have to want to buy them - and pay them the wages they want. That's the main problem.

I find this hard to believe as I believe I saw yesterday that Chelski had 24 players currently out on loan.

Precisely. A load of tosh.

Because nobody wants our cast offs and the players will be reluctant to move if they are on healthy contracts.

WRONG! Palace!!!

[Link]

A report has come out with some serious critisims about our strategy , which we have hopefully addressed by taking in Moody.

So far there are 4 out and none in but clearly we need to get rid of a number more and get in some quality!!

Exactly. We had a squad lacking many desirable players prior to being promoted, most of the players will also have received a promotion wage hike also making them even less attractive to lower division suitors.

The complete study will be a very interesting read (you can have a look at last year's online) but the BBC has presented this stat somewhat secluded from any other information.

What it means is, over the last 3 seasons, we have played the largest number of players in first team games, who still remain at the club. This is because of youngsters getting games and the number of players who have had an involvement who are now not in the 25 (a new restriction for us).

Those Chelsea players out on loan haven't played a first team game in the last 2 years so aren't included.

The study takes into account players who have played this season or the last 2 seasons for their parent club. I'm guessing that very few of those Chelski loanees have played for the first team, and so according to this arbitrary and illogical selection criteria they don't count.

It was over two seasons and the research is from October, so is already out of date. Not really a level playing field to compare clubs who got promotion over those who are well established in the league they reside.
