TP must have known we have a budget and wage structure to stick to and so we should. SP is right to live within our means and not be held to ransom by players or their agents if that means we miss out on a few then so be it we are doing fine as we are.

I have no idea if the article has a basis of truth or not but TP knew what the structure of the club was when he took over.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

Have you actually read the article before disagreeing with it as it has nothing to do with budgets or wages structure

Bound to be tension in the transfer window. TP obviously wants players in asap, and SP who has to ensure the club doesn't overspend. Moody is there to ensure the best players come in at the best value. I am sure he will.

I don't understand why football clubs need middlemen in clubs like kinnear moody ect (directors of football) or whatever the role is the football managers probably feel undermined & want to deal direct via the top guy. Surely it's possible that people can mutually ascertain what a player is worth & if feasible then act & negioate. TP been round the blocks & is probably more than capable of doing that off his own steam.

parish said that moody was brought in as he had a better knowledge of transfer dealings/certain aspects of football than he did.

he acknowledged a weakness in his own skillset and plugged the hole by employing moody.

In yesterday's programme Parish talked of having "numerous irons in the fire". But he also said he'd only bring in "the right players at the right price and on the right personal terms". Let's face it Parish does have 'previous' when it comes to brinkmanship - buying the club, the Summer window. Personally I don't think you can judge a window until it's closed.

I don't think we need a lot - someone who can score goals and some cover at centre back would do me. But let's be honest Big Sam is looking for that too and 'someone who can score goals' would be able to pick and choose his club. Pulis will know that as well as anybody.

Moody was here briefly before Pulis signed, so am sure TP was fully aware of what Moody's roll would be. Pulis did state the other day, no player would be signed if he didn't want them, so maybe the names moody is putting forward, are not TPs kind of player? We will see how things pan out over the next two weeks.

It's going to be tight this season but let's look at the positive in that we are not actually in the relegation zone without Pulis/Parish signing any players. The longer we keep this up (especially if we beat Hull)the more I reckon they will think 'do we actually need to buy players?

We will have players coming back from injuries over the coming month (Murray, Thomas, KG) which could galvanise the squad and encourage that competitiveness a new signing might bring. Guedioura would be a good example of that, I believe he has really lifted performances in the past couple of games.

We won't be bringing in 2 or 3 players, more like 1 at the most in my opinion.

Did he actually refer to the fact that "he would only bring in" as most people would say that "we would only bring in"
