Chamakh is one of those guys that always looks like he is in deep distress, not that he actually is, just has that look about him.

And in regards to Puncheon, well deserved, we moan at our players for not shooting enough so well in for taking a gamble and not performing a wasted pass, poor lad though that penalty will NEVER be forgotten!

....if the Sppuurs game had finished 0-0, everyone would have a reason to feel upset, Puncheon has played well in almost every game for me.

Don't agree Cornwall. Started pretty poor when he first came. What is reassuring is he has improved, in fits and starts, game by game. Maybe there is more to come. I really admired that he didn't swear when he missed the penalty but seems to care so very much.

I don't get as many chances to come on HOL anymore, but I feel bad that it's taken me until today to defend JP from the criticism he's had.

Ok, the penalty was truly awful. Look liked he changed his mind at the last minute and when you do that it's usually going to result in a miss.

However, he's always looking for the ball, always probing and although he's not the quickest, he turns well and moves the ball intelligently. He doesn't hide in a game and isn't afraid to get stuck in.

I like him and wish I put a few quid on him to score yesterday, it was written in the stars.

Did anyone else notice his celebration today? Looked like a "yah boo sucks to you" gesture, maybe at his detractors amongst us. Can't say I blame him either.

...Always does that when he scores

I remember it was puncheon who had to go off once for a s***e once when playing for Southampton and got stick when he came back on and recently he was on soccer am and went home early as he said he was ill, He probably has anxiety issues as at the end of the day he is the same as the rest of us... a human being... IMO he is a confidence player and person and I am sure if we want to see the best of him we need to back him and maybe even come up with a song for him then I feel we would truly see him perform to the full talent he no doubt has.

He keeps the ball so tight to his feet when dribbling and wears defenders down, he has vision and is not scared to shoot and attack the opposition.

This is an interesting point that I had never thought of before. If you compare Puncheon to bolasie, puncheon always takes small controlled steps with the ball where as bolasie almost gallops with the ball taking big touches when taking on players. Both are different style of wingers and are successful in different situations, perhaps quite complimentary (as shown yesterday)

After giving him dog's abuse all week I actually felt sorry for him today after seeing him on MotD. It had clearly been a difficult week for him and I'm glad for him he made the difference today.

Did anyone else notice his celebration today? Looked like a "yah boo sucks to you" gesture, maybe at his detractors amongst us. Can't say I blame him either.

Nope thats his signature celebration.

Poor lad.

It was my dream to play for Palace and to make my debut. I've always played for the club so if I'm playing here, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
