He's a top bloke.

He does a job and he does it well. I forgot how good his holdup play was. It certainly helped through the playoffs.

He's not prem quality anymore and we do need a new striker who can actually score (that was a comical effort on his part by all accounts), but that holdup play can buy precious minutes and he's not a bad squad player to have to swap for Chamakh when we need to shut up shop.

It took him + 6 defenders today in the last 10.

Cheers, Wilbs!

I like him. Ever since the playoffs I have thought of him in a totally different light, he is a quality target man, don't give a s*** what anyone says. We learnt ages ago he's not a goalscorer, he always gives the defenders gyp, he is a lot better than what people give him credit for.

Wilbs is our Shola Ameobi.

Sorry now but if you can't see that Wilbrahams contribution took a lot of pressure off us by keeping the ball up their end for the last part of the match then you don't know a thing about football !

Wilbraham has a certain ability, that's to get the ball and keep it as long as possible, it's not to score 20 a season, a good sub well used by TP !

Why not just try and enjoy our win ?

Have you antis not noticed yet that when Wilbraham plays even as just a sub we tend to get the desired result?

I love him. He's quirky and thick-skinned. He's also been promoted five times.

Don't care if he's not that great tbh. He's Palace, he tries 100% and he has my respect.

spot on, whenever he gets the chance he plays his heart out. he put in a massive shift v watford and plays the part he is asked to do.

Wilbs is a hero! If you were at the game today you would have noticed he got a terrific reception from the fans.

oh seriously?

i get that he is a trier and it held the ball up.

but moxey could probably have done a better job upfront.

theres a reason why dougie kept us up v stockport back in the day.

wilbs was stockports promising young striker.

True Chamakh did have a poor game today but Wilbraham did remind of us of the difference in quality.

His one chance he had where he side footed it well wide just demonstrated he just isn't up to it. Yeah he held the ball in the corner flag but you can't waste an outfield player to do that. He's not the answer.
