So much for bringing the youngsters through, All goes out the window in the Premier League as the stakes are to high to take a gamble.

Or, alternatively, they've decided Jerome Williams and Jacob Berkeley-Agyepong (who can also play left back) will be better

22 and never had a run of games in the first team, He'll return at league 1 or championship standard in a few seasons.

Not going to have a chance here, Parr or Moxey won't be prized away and Jerome Williams looks a promising player coming through.

You took the words from my mouth. He is going to be a good Championship player I reckon. And I don't think it will take long. Agree that we should have a decent sell on clause

Good luck to him. Just what he needs, a first team run. The right time for him to move on i feel as he was
never going to be given a chance.

Hopefully he wont end up like Lee Hills into the non league. Hills at one point had great potential.

Always looked ok when playing but clearly not good enough for the top 2 divisions right now. A move to Plymouth should get his career going again and with a decent sell on clause everyone is a winner.

The ups and downs of Palace have left me older than my years

Can't blame the guy at 22 he should be playing regular first team football. You can't wait for ever to make a break through.

On the few times I saw him play thought he looked a decent player. Good luck to him, hope he goes on to play 100's of games.

Fantastic signing for Plymouth - Parsons has never had a bad game for us. Good defensively, very good going forward and physically he can run all game and is strong.

As for us letting him go - for all the reasons already mentioned, it is for the best. We've got younger talent coming through in that position, 2 senior LB's ahead of him and Ward who can operate there.

He will be a Championship regular in a few years I reckon. Just needs games, no massive weaknesses - just not good enough for the PL.

Parson will be a great L2 signing.

Just wasn't quite premiership / championship standard yet.

Im all for bringing players up from the youth, but they have to be good enough. If anything, the academy needs to be better, to get to a sort of Southampton / United level, obviously very difficult though.

If a player is good enough they will come through, we dont often give away players from the youth team who turn out to be good enough (at least without 5/6 seasons away from us like Hunt or Fuller)

The clear out continues, Must be about 6-7 players in the last week. How many more.Thought Parsons had a future at the club, So much for bringing the youngsters through, All goes out the window in the Premier League as the stakes are to high to take a gamble.

Well we did have 42 to prune after signing 16 in the Summer.

FOR A TEAM OF 11.

If the youngster is goodenough he will come through.

Parsons was not.

one report i saw said that he had only joined on a short term 6 month contact so it is unlikely there are any sell on clauses

Sad that the demands for instant success mean that these youngsters never get a look-in. Who will be next to go - Wynter? De Silva? For a club with a supposed good academy, we have a really poor record for giving youngsters a chance in the first team.

Instant success!? Think we've been building for this for some 109 years without any success to date. If moving players that aren't good enough on is what we need to do to become established in the top flight then so be it. We're too nice at Palace.
