brilliant stuff. I was about 11 when I was at this game and remember my dad saying that if we win this he would take me and my brother to Orient (and what a day that was).Great times, great Palace side.
A five year old child could do this! Somebody fetch me a five year old child. |

Fantastic Bubber! I'm pretty sure I was on the Holmesdale for that match aged 24, with my prematch ritual of a cup of bovril, hotdog, read the programme and then a packet of monkey nuts at half time. There was a big lump of a fella that sold them from a sack at the bottom of the terrace. He would throw them up to you like a quarter back and collected his cash later. He knew where to go by the droppings of the shells.

Cine Film footage mostly taken from the Whitehorse End of Palace 2 Notts County 0 on 28th April 1979. It was our last home game before THAT promotion winning one against Burnley. The footage, taken by a friend of mine, is pretty poor quality unfortunately, but still worth a look i think. Look out for a quick shot of a young Hy Money taking her position (2:17); and is that the famous Mrs Minchella selling her peanuts at (2:57)? My 12th Birthday that was Brilliant stuff Bubbs - love it and it is the famous peanut seller extraordinare Mrs M

Fcking crying me eyes out here Aged 15 on the Holmesdale for that. Notts County, Orient and then Burnley. What a trio of fantastic memories. Though I'd forgotten almost all the County game before the clip. I want the old days back!
