So few of us that when we got off at the ground ( seaburn???) they managed to fit us in the back of a couple of police wagons!!!. I was at a midweek game at Roker Park when we won 2-1 and Joyce ' The Voice ' got into a noisy row with some home fans at the end of the game. The police couldn't guarantee our safety walking to Seaburn, so we were taken a few at a time in police wagons ! It was 78-79 season when we went up as Champions under Venables...

Hull City at home around the late 70's. It was chucking it down and at half time those on the Holmesdale and White Horse were moved onto the AW terrace. The AW was noisy in those days anyway, but with the Holmesdale mob in there it created the loudest noise for a very long time even though the crowd was the lowest of that season of just over 10,000.

Hull won 1-0 and I swear blind there were no away fans because of the absolute silence that followed their goal.

Hate to be a know all but there was 2,893 there that night - i was one of them too.

Three years before that we played Brighton in a Full Members Cup match at home, losing 3-1 and attracting a crowd of 2,207

Someone remind me - what was the Full Members Cup all about?
