Interfax as a source really?

Western media, well all media, omits what it doesn't wish to focus upon. However, there are multiple sources for this.

How many sources would you like?

I mean, the Ukraine has openly called for western involvement in a war against Russia but what you apparently find difficult to believe is that they asked Georgia.

If there is a single moment of clarity in this entire mess, it is that the notion of any kind of Western impartiality has been roundly kicked into touch. Absolutely zero attempts by the likes of the BBC or Sky to be even-handed in any way. In their defence, they do not even make a pretence anymore.

Quite refreshing in a f***ed up way.

The generational decline in objectivity within the western media is quite depressing.

You expect a level of bias within any media but today it's a propaganda machine little different to its opponents.

I mean you could be forgiven for thinking we were actually at war.

Russian again.

I very much doubt that they requested this [yet]. I would see this encouraged when Russia attacks a NATO country when the war widens.

We effectively are. Coming to the conclusion now it is the UK that is the defacto backer of Ukraine and taking the lead in all kinds of ways. The war plays well for Boris who will do literally anything to hang on in number 10 and the likes of MI6 have been in a pissing contest with Moscow now for decades, owing them big time for a variety of hits such as their agent being locked up in his own sports bag (and if ever there was a message being sent that only a few people could ever understand, that was it) to the Salisbury poisonings aimed at a defector both MI6 and Porton Downe were up to their necks with.

Whitehall is the one pulling the strings at the moment in all kinds of ways.

Objectivity is always thrown out the door, when UK troops have the possibility of combat

In my time I could think of the Falklands and both Gulf Wars, it is a political tool to stoke up jingoism in these instances. The reporting was unbalanced in all cases.

Of course, we could have an intellectually lightweight facist government propping up a neo-nazi regime. Sure you could find that quote on Interfax or RT.com,

You are right Boris needs this jingoism.

He certainly does and is hardly opposed by anybody. All the usual suspects who would be jumping over almost any other kind of ramping up of the war-war over jaw-jaw narrative are the ones most loudly cheering on even more intervention.

t***s who were only a few months ago proclaiming that protesting Canadian truckers sounding their horns was an act of violence are now openly discussing their favourite anti-tank weapons and cheering on when Russian POW's are executed. Johnson literally has no meaningful political opposition to whatever he wants to do with regards to this conflict.

We aren't at war and have no troops. Like I say I expect a level of bias but not this level of objective decline.

Russia is neo-Nazi? Fascist? Authoritarian and autocratic for sure....but Nazi? Like calling cod a shark.

Must be some new age definitions.

Unlike the UK press which you appear to automatically believe is lying to you and fake news.

Jeesh, you got already a Z painted on your front door?
