New Zealand’s approach has been by far and away the most effective and least deadly.

One of the measures which might be introduced as part of a relaxation of the 'Lockdown' is for public houses to open but customers are NOT permitted at the bar and have to be seated at tables for table service with the tables spaced well apart as per the social-distancing instructions.NO standing and drinking in public house gardens or outside in front of these establishments in the summer months with customers required to be seated. Furthermore, restaurants and cafes could be required to space tables apart as per above. Edited by Willo (08 Apr 2020 2.17pm) I agree with that but in loads of drinkers pubs that’ll be ignored. In Scotland they stayed open for a week after lockdown.

While there are always some truths to stereotypes I think you are stretching some here. When I mention Japan, I get told that their cultural behaviours can't be compared....when I mention Sweden I'm hearing more reasons. Sweden's approach hasn't been adopted by other similarly sized and behaved Scandinavian countries....So if you think your stereotypes matter that much we will even be able to compare and contrast on that at the end Edited by Stirlingsays (08 Apr 2020 2.15pm) That’s because we all know what our population is like. Yes we’ll be able to compare Sweden with Norway and Switzerland. You can’t compare Sweden with London and Birmingham. Maybe after all of this there might be a change to what is valued in Britain although I doubt it because those in higher tax brackets either work from home now or live in rural areas or both. And personally it won’t affect me but that’s my view.

Just heard some recorded questions from some doctors. That dr Sarah is recorded asking about us doing a Sweden. Not sure if it’s going to be asked to the government tonight.

I suspect different groups will have different statistics.... I will imagine that will be even within the same locations due to average cultural behaviours spread over populations. Still, Sweden itself has also gone down this route for some time now. Still I think certain comparisons will be able to be made.....certainly upon the effectiveness of approaches.
