I’m certainly more pro Parish than anti but I can’t help feeling this interview was released purely as a result of the flak which has been aimed his way over the lack of transfers, the handling of contracts and the lack of progress on the development of Selhurst Park. To me it’s obviously been very uncomfortable for our Chairman in recent months and this is purely damage limitation and as has been pointed out already, is predominantly a PR exercise. There is undoubtedly mileage in the update about the Academy but I’m not holding my breath on the offer to Sainsbury’s or the transfer kitty. Just catching up with the forum and hadn’t seen the ‘Moaning about Parish/Hodgson/Freedman’ thread before posting my response above and see it’s pretty much all been covered over on that one. I’d forgotten about the Season Ticket renewal timing as well!

Great interview. Just need to put a run of results together to get to the end of the season and freshen things up a bit in the summer. The Euros normally throws up 1 or 2 value players. Good to see the academy upgrade is well underway. Need to get a few more of our own young players in the squad and active. Arse, Chelski and Spuds are playing 19 and 20 year olds, so would be good to see us do a bit more of that until the current 16 / 17 year olds start coming through. Interesting point made that outside the top 6 only 4 clubs have retained their premier status since Palace came up. West Ham could be on shaky ground as well in that respect. Well done Steve - very reassuring. Let's hope Dougie can deliver on all his hard work this summer. Sadly Roy wont play the kids, he only played Wan Bissaka out of no other choice, Stop deluding yourself that we will we play youngsters; we have the oldest team in the premiership & it wont get any younger under Roy. As for Steve; well done for rescuing us but we needed to move on last year & we won't under Roy. Another season of him is a joke

It’ll be next season when we’re bored bored bored again.
