Sinisterra undergoing a medical at Bournemouth...honestly I don't really understand how we haven't gone in for him. He would have been a great fit...its so frustrating!!

What happens now ... if anything? I presume we can't take a player on loan outside the transfer window so that's it until January?

Accepting our limitations, this has been a pathetic window. A goalkeeper to replace another one, an injured youngster and and a bang average defender for cover, not to mention losing our best player with no replacement. No striker again? Seriously?

It seems fairly obvious. We had limited funds and with no forward view on who will be the coaching staff next season. So, cover the biggest risk positions, assume the current squad is good enough for mid table, keep hold of our top players and make some moves next summer with a new incoming coach. If things go bad, then maybe there is a contingency fund for January to prop up the squad. Also, the investors maybe repositioning, so little support from them for new shareholder loans to back a bigger spend, notwithstanding having to balance the books and keep the wage bill from escalating. All very prudent fiscal management, even if the fans were wanting more. The board dynamics must be interesting with SP wanting to retain control and keep the club fiscally conservative while other investors might be having different agendas.
