Not sure if anyone has bothered to watch this, but more or less answers every question/moan that exists on this thread.

Sunmary

• Academy - building work our to tender, working with planning to respond to latest round of questions, aim to be built for next season

• Stadium - Offer has gone in to Sainsbury’s for the land. Also have planning work to do but will announce next stage if Sainsbury’s accept latest offer

• Transfers - essentially, not just going to buy players for the sake of it. Need to find a balance between buying players in and blocking paths through to the first team. Plenty of money available for what we need

• Wan money - Was partly used to clear debt. Now back to debt free

• Roy - has contract, both parties relaxed about situation

• Outside investment - if someone wants to buy and take us into Europe, will happily step aside

Plenty more in there but looked extremely relaxed and is progressing with a long term vision for the club rather than short term reactive plans that in the past ultimately led to the near disaster that was 2010.

Seems pretty committed and as he says ‘I have all the information’, we don’t, so decisions he’s making are in the interests of the club.

Doesn’t talk about the Americans - but doesn’t seem to be any issues re. Funding for transfers, stadium, academy.

So - not exactly worth jumping off a bridge about now is it.

Did you know? 98.0000001% of people are morons.

Great interview. Just need to put a run of results together to get to the end of the season and freshen things up a bit in the summer. The Euros normally throws up 1 or 2 value players.

Good to see the academy upgrade is well underway.

Need to get a few more of our own young players in the squad and active. Arse, Chelski and Spuds are playing 19 and 20 year olds, so would be good to see us do a bit more of that until the current 16 / 17 year olds start coming through.

Interesting point made that outside the top 6 only 4 clubs have retained their premier status since Palace came up. West Ham could be on shaky ground as well in that respect.

Well done Steve - very reassuring. Let's hope Dougie can deliver on all his hard work this summer.

Good interview with Mr P.. Maybe he should schedule a monthly or quarterly one of these, then we wouldn't all fall out of our trees when he goes quiet for a few months. We are a fickle lot Steve, so good communication is vital and appreciated. It's good to hear about concrete progress on the key strategies for Palace as it stops speculation that things are gradually going tits up.

Every fan should watch his interview.

It was a good interview, as long as this Sainsbury’s deal is real and not just positive PR. He seems very calm but I bet he’s a bit anxious of the near future.

Would be good to take a look at Brentford - they seem to be scouting well. Also need to think about continuity of coaching. Roy could be gone in a couple of games, if he signs an extension in the summer it is only for 1 more year. Would be good to get someone in or lined up if they have not already - and I don't mean Dougie or Sean Derry.

That kind of calibre or manager would never come in under Roy or anybody and shouldn’t really because they should have all the tools needed themselves. It’s our fault if we make a mess of managing squads.

With Roy and Freedman we’ll have more of differing views and wants on recruitment I’m afraid so I doubt we’ll commit ourselves to too many players. Well not any that venture past the centre circle unfortunately.

Bromley seem to have got it right with the Glades, its always busy. Only downside they don't seem to have a lift engineer and car park lifts are always breaking down.
I doubt if Bromley Council see any real benefit in welcoming CPFC to Crystal Palace park. Their priority is building affordable housing, so getting Selhurst Park as part of any deal, is of little benefit to them, as outside their borough. If they then sold it to developers, Croydon Council would fight planning out of jealousy.

Welcoming CPFC to Bromley has so many factors - puts Bromley on the map for one. Don't we already have the training and youth set up in Bromley?

If they got Selhurst and sold it, they wouldn't care what developers did/couldn't do surely?

To be honest, Croydon could sink further and be a right Detroit of the UK if the Whitgift is left the way it is. People won't want to invest if it's still a melting pot of crime, gangs and lower income and perceived immigration issues.

When I think of the roof space on somewhere like Bluewater etc, venting would be a huge issue but I always thought why couldn't a stadium be built, that was slightly raised and had a shopping centre etc under it. Serbian club vosdovac have one, we do have Sainsbury's I guess, I dunno, wishful thinking maybe.

.

Interesting that Freedmans main achievement is actually identifying the players we shouldn’t sign.

I know it'll never happen, and I know parking would be a problem of historic proportions, but I'd love to see Palace in a well-constructed 40,000 capacity stadium in Palace park. 15,000 safe standing at the ends, 25,000 seating down the sides.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

You’re not falling for it until we see something happen more than ‘a bid for land has been made’. Wow, what we’re we getting impatient about? A bid might be accepted in half a year.

It’s a good job that cladding went on the main stand and the internal lounges were furnished all nice and plush because we’ll need them for years to come.
