Ok, so there are some slurs / exaggerated instances. I haven't seen you respond to Corbyn declaring they'd won back Thanet etc? Turns out it was a Parish Council seat just one after the UKIP incumbent stood down.

Any self respecting Labourite should be glad to see the back of him by all means.

Do you want to be unelectable forever or what?

Had they won back a council seat off of UKIP?

5 minutes ago, the results of local elections were used as a stick to beat Corbyn with. You can't have it both ways.

Also it's entirely different spinning an election result than it is putting out a negative spin against Corbyn in 'officegate' or the numerous other non stories that have been anti Corbyn but totally without evidence or even a semblance of truth.

I couldn't believe Smith on newsnight last night going on about Corbyn not being patriotic!
The same happened to Sanders in the states. The media went all out to discredit him. I see that the democrats issued an apology to him last night.

Sigh!

Best thing that's happened to the party if you ask me. They needed a massive kick up the backside from the public and membership, and Corbyn is that. Whether he'll win an election is another matter, but effectively its show the disparity between Labour voters and supporters and the elite of the parliamentary party, and how little a s**t they actually give about the wider party as a whole.

The problem is that although the PLP might be out of touch with the membership, the membership are out of touch with the majority opinion. Some would say reality.
If you want the Labour party to remain a protest group then they are on the right road. If you want government then they have to adopt policies that people outside of London respond to.

Corbyn has tried to drag the Labour Party too far left, too fast. The next election is there for the taking for a centre left party- see the news today that only Greece has seen a greater drop in real term wages since 2007.

Unfortunately, all those disaffected voters were hovered up by UKIP at the last election. Hard to say whether they'll keep them thanks to the post Brexit turmoil.

Labour's PLP needs to stick or twist- stop the infighting, stick with Corbyn with a compromise centre left platform, or split away and join another party.

Next election is 4 years away though so anything can happen- Brown had a similar lead to May immediately after he was appointed but still lost the next election.
