Hilarious really.

Artificial intelligence (AI), in its broadest sense, is intelligence exhibited by machines, particularly computer systems. It is a field of research in computer science that develops and studies methods and software which enable machines to perceive their environment and uses learning and intelligence to take actions that maximize their chances of achieving defined goals.[1] Such machines may be called AIs.

AI technology is widely used throughout industry, government, and science. Some high-profile applications include advanced web search engines (e.g., Google Search); recommendation systems (used by YouTube, Amazon, and Netflix); interacting via human speech (e.g., Google Assistant, Siri, and Alexa); autonomous vehicles (e.g., Waymo); generative and creative tools (e.g., ChatGPT and AI art); and superhuman play and analysis in strategy games (e.g., chess and Go).[2] However, many AI applications are not perceived as AI: "A lot of cutting edge AI has filtered into general applications, often without being called AI because once something becomes useful enough and common enough it's not labeled AI anymore."

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Off topic I saw an article today from a Recruitment specialist who has had Zoom interviews with candidates. She gave examples of some using AI to answer her questions, they didn't get the job.

Apparently a lot of students try to submit work from it as well - for now, I think it’s not developed enough so you can spot it as something artificial, but as it learns more I expect it’s ability to navigate things like interviews will improve significantly.

The justification of freedom fighters largely depends on the context of their actions and the cause they are fighting for. In many cases throughout history, individuals or groups have taken up arms or engaged in resistance movements to fight against oppression, injustice, colonialism, or other forms of tyranny. In such instances, they may be seen as justified in their struggle for freedom, rights, and self-determination.

However, it's essential to recognize that the methods employed by freedom fighters can vary widely, and not all actions taken in the name of freedom can be morally or ethically justified. Acts of violence, terrorism, or indiscriminate targeting of civilians undermine the legitimacy of a cause and can lead to further suffering and harm.

Ultimately, whether the actions of freedom fighters are justified often depends on factors such as the nature of the regime they are fighting against, the proportionality of their response, their adherence to principles of international law and human rights, and the extent to which peaceful means of achieving their goals have been exhausted or denied to them. Each situation must be carefully evaluated on its own merits.

You could have just said that you support Hamas and see them as some kind of freedom fighters.

That's not what the AI told me to say.

Two observations:

1. Quite how you haven’t deduced that’s a copy and paste job from Chat GPT I don’t know - when you decide to inject into a conversation with nothing more than ‘you support Hamas’, forgive me if I don’t take your point very seriously.

2. Probably slightly more amusingly, having failed to recognise the tongue in cheek nature of my response, you both then essentially conclude that Chat GPT supports Hamas because it gave a fairly generic, objective text about the nature of freedom fighters.

Maybe something to reflect on.

Meanwhile you continue to avoid directly answering the question.
