If Franca is not ready to play a big role this season and we don't sign another forward then ultimately we are weaker than last season with Wilf gone. I can't really see it any other way. Thank f**k we did keep Olise though. I still keep having this recurring dream that Andros will come back on a free.

Latest on Ekitike. He has agreed loan terms with Palace. The bad news he failed to inform his club who are none too pleased about it. I’m guessing this might or might not happen, but I’ll happily take any forward we are offered.

Roy giving nothing away on details of the injury yet again. No attempt to downplay the extent of the injury.

But the player doesn’t want to go, and has rejected two offers already. We have gone in with a loan bid, which isn’t what they wanted, and agreed in principle a deal with the agent, not the player, and what’s angered PSG is that the player now says no way to the Germany deal. Try using your own eyes and come to your own opinion rather than peddling the old, “I’m sure Dougie blah blahs opinion” time and time again. Speak to any Arsenal fan who had to watch him week in and week out and they will tell you that he is a liability at this level. Wasn’t it the Palace scouting team that turned down Van Dijk stating he was too slow for top level football. They don’t always get it right.
