The batterings have been so big that we're not in the relegation zone.

Or anywhere near it, now or ever over the last three years.

That's Hodgsons bloody fault that is, the idiot.

We win a match and you're spoilt if you want a new manager next season!
Alternative opinions aren't allowed it would seem.
Strangely enough I never thought we are in relegation danger despite even some Hodgson fans fearing the worst.
I take a more rounded view of our performances over the last year and am not swayed by an isolated victory or defeat.
He can leave at the end of the season having achieved the same as Pulis,Allardyce and Pardew in keeping us up.No more no less.
Although in fairness at least Pardew had a go in the FA Cup.

With a lot less spent.

With no budget. Can you imagine if we actually backed him or brought players that he wanted like the other managers.

I cannot accept the argument about money, even though I acknowledge we haven't really invested under Hodgson.
He inherited a squad with significant sums already spent on Benteke, Sakho, Cabaye, Tomkins, PVA ,Luka, Schlupp and Townsend.
Well in excess of £100 million.
Add Zaha too and that's not too shabby as a basis for a team.
You can argue that some of those have not proved to be value for money, but that's a different argument.

Relegation signings signed by managers who demanded backing as a prerequisite of them coming in to keep us up. For all the talk that Roy was "forced" into giving the youth (AWB + Mitchell) a go, he still did give them a go.

Sam & Pulis walked before it got to to that stage. AWB would've never happened under either of them.

Whether you like Roy or not, he is not the same league of manager as the Pulis & Sams of this world and it's frankly an insult to suggest he is.

We're the Arthur over ere!

Thank goodness the decision isn't yours to make.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

No its not, its the same argument. Hodgsons predecessors didn't like what they worked with and got replacements. Roy didn't.

You can't point to players who, by and large, are widely considered poor value for money as evidence that Roy has had the benefit of investment.

The statements that Pulls and Allardyce would not have played AWB or Mitchell, and that Hodgson is a superior manager to both are opinions, not facts.
To my mind the greatest achievement in keeping us up was the one engineered by Pulis with essentially a Championship squad.
But that is an opinion and not a fact.
And possibly not a popular opinion because of the way he left and the perception that he is not a gentleman.
