Sorry if i missed that. Life doesn’t have a price, and they’re focusing on the lives now. Soon they’ll be looking longer term.

If we go to herd immunity now without the means to test and control, can we tax the fatties like I suggested? They’re going to cause a load of cost and problems so may as well get the money in now and they’re being very irresponsible.

Still...the debt balance sheet has been made so many times worse. I haven't a clue of course....but here's hoping. You would think that something has to be done about this level of debt...it can't go on and on....But this is what all the pension funds are living off. Edited by Stirlingsays (08 Apr 2020 12.32am) Pension funds are screwed and have been for a long while. Keynesian theory is bollox. A debt crisis cannot be solved by continually adding more bloody debt! Sept 17th 2019, the never mentioned 'Turning Point'.

If an immune person to covid 19 is still able to spread the virus by carrying it on their hands, clothes etc then we are not going to be able to see an end to lockdown until a vaccine is found, I wish they would just come out and say this but having said that keeping us locked up for the amount of time a vaccine takes to find will make a huge proportion of the population go bonkers, I have a fear this is going to take quite some time, Germany seem to have tested well and are in the best situation at the moment, but how do they move on? The police are going to have to be tough especially if we do relax the lockdown, the Germans have a much better idea of the population infected so have a good chance of relaxing with better outcomes. Contact is the biggest way to get this bug..2 metres dont mean jack if you touch an infected area and touch your face. I think that should be highlighted more in the advice.

Personally I have never heard any mention of a review at the "3 week date", I did hear Boris Johnson assert that the 'Lockdown' would be reviewed on a "Month by month basis". There were mentions of the predicted peak being around Easter so perhaps some have drawn the conclusion that this is when the 'Lockdown' would be reviewed. Any easing of restrictions will be determined by the peak being reached and a 'Flattening' of that curve and I believe that at this stage it is a bit too premature to conclude when this might occur. I just have the feeling that we will continue in 'Lockdown' for another 3 weeks at the earliest but this is pure conjecture.

Yes, Sneezing and coughing allows droplets to float in the air and then land on surfaces, if they land in our mouths, nose, eyes and even ears we are in big trouble, using hands to touch the surfaces where an infected person has sneezed or coughed near or even just wiped their eyes and then touched is as bad for the period this virus is able to survive out of the host ..the amount of time is still very debatable and while it is is going to really determine how we relax and tackle this problem moving forward. We should all be wearing masks at least.
