Writing a soft focus excuses piece for a women who murdered her husband with a hammer and only served 9 years. Yet another example of the double standards....'oh the mental abuse' - results in immediate sympathy apparently. Yet if your wife's a nag and you smash her head in with a hammer....Do you reckon you're doing 9 years? Edited by Stirlingsays (14 Sep 2019 4.09pm)

The sentence was determined by experienced Judges who I think probably know rather more about what's appropriate than his supporters. The car "incident" is a blatant compensation attempted scam. No-one was injured in any way. C'mon wissy.

C'mon wissy. I was stationary and there is an independent witness to that fact. No cam needed. If he pushes it he is going to find himself charged with attempted fraud. Ageism might not be quite as unpleasant as racism but it is still something to be deplored. I can assure you there is nothing the least wrong with my faculties that a pair of glasses hasn't corrected and I have worn them since my 20s.
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |

Age is but a number, and the odd creak here and there

The very fact that there is a Police Complaints Authority tends to confirm that the over arching commitment is to the law. No-one can legislate for individual frailties or mistakes. The Lodge is there to protect the legitimate rights of the Policemen themselves. Believe what you like, I know what I have witnessed, which when it comes to this subject is a lot more than you think you know

They aren't double but they are higher. You can certainly question the merits of asking Universities to think commercially but I would not describe that as bias. The inference in the original comment was bias of a political nature and not a commercially driven admissions policy. As I was referring mainly to my friend's son attempting to get onto a medicine course. Please read the first paragraph and a half of attached link. I think you will see the fees are over double.
