Nice one, jugs.

We ought to give politicians much more grief, like the French.

Be prepared for him to make some smug (unfunny) joke about it when he opens the MOTD show tomorrow night!

Sorry just so we're clear the proposed policy is amoral. But Lineker is wrong and the bbc 2 faced on this.

Normal service?

I'm really not sure how deporting illegal immigrants is amoral, but perhaps it is in your parallel universe, where you also probably have a pointy beard and eye liner.

What is kind of weird is putting the plight of total strangers from foreign countries over that of our children and grandchildren. Those strangers come here to work in menial jobs for cash and pay no tax if you are lucky, or very likely work for criminal gangs selling drugs, stealing and pimping.

He's after Stelling's job. Luckily they're definitely going to give it to Sue Smith. It's going to be a massive surprise when Alex Scott gets Lineker's job. Nobody could see that coming.
Poor Mr Lineker will then be out of a job. Maybe the odd crisp advert and football 365 interview.

I'm sure he will be back after they've negotiated some sort of 'you can have your own opinion but you can't have your own opinion' impartiality rule / impossibility.

Surprised they're taking any action at all, as I thought the BBC was overtly biased when it comes to policing the minefield of impartiality policy (according to this thread, anyways)

There's always the self employed thing, though not sure they're still allowed to get away with it. Seem to remember something happening about that at some point.

The BBC Chair clinging on despite his improprieties.

The panel that chose him had a tory donor also a prospective tory MP on it.

And he is a former employer of the latest tory PM.

But his biggest crime is cancelling 'Autumnwatch' a heinous act of barbarism.

Worse than the nazis.

Now a David Attenborough episode on the environment not being shown as it offends the right (!).

And Lineker follows a trail of news broadcasters who have offended big brother and quit or been dismissed.

The make up of the board should be completely non-political and
clearly this is not the case with donations to the tories and even a prospective tory MP.

You would think that would have been obvious but no.

The right wing bias of the BBC must be why Starmer always seems rubbish on TV
