Your grasping the concept. If we haven't a can do attitude and quit whilst the EU do have a can do attitude then we are royally fxxxxx. If how however we get together give it a go it won't be half as bad as your half glass empty theory.

I listen to Theo Usherwood on LBC he talks a lot of sense and is a good political commentator.

This morning his view was this.

1. Yesterday's defeat for the Tories was better than expected. The damaged MP was allowed to be the Tory candidate because May didn't believe they could win so why waste a good candidate. Another bad decision. On the Remain side the minor parties did a deal with the Lib Dems to allow then a free run at he Tories whilst the Brexit party took 10% of the vote which would have seen the Tories win.

So yes a good day for Remain but the Boris bounce is still there.

Meanwhile no one is talking about Labour almost losing their deposit in Wales, Wales for god's sake.

So what happens now? Normally Corbyn would call a vote of no confidence and with several Tory MPs threatening to quit the party he could win. However it is now too late to hold a GE before 31 October so if one was called now that he would be blamed by the Remainers for allowing Brexit by default.

The feeling is that Corbyn will not call for a no confidence vote until after Brexit when he can say to the electorate look at the mess we're in and I am the man to clean it up.

Still all to play for.

There were some good things to come from our time in the EU, and there were some bad. In the same way there will be both good and bad to come from Brexit.

We have overcome all kind of European monstrosities in the past, Hitler, The IRA and Abba. We can deal with Brexit.
