I haven't read all this Lineker stuff, but my amusement is seeing people who promote cancel culture complaining about cancel culture.

If Lineker had been known for more 'right wing' views, he would have been sacked already, with his career in ruins. The blatant hypocrisy is there for anyone with eyes to see

The lack of self awareness with these people never ceases to amaze.

Lineker complaining about cancel culture is like the devil complaining about the heat.

Worse than the nazis.

I still haven't forgiven the BBC for cancelling teletext on the red button

I got ceefax up on the TV recently enough. I even looked at the holidays. Used to use them for the scores.

Teletext would have rainbow text now and be available in pigeon. It was discriminatory to those with disabilities anyway: it wasn't available in braille.

Furthermore calling the button 'red' is clearly derogatory towards indigenous North American people. In fact the actor Red Buttons ('The Longest Day' et al) is well in the firing line for cancellation.

Certainly more colour than you get in a Met Police statement about suspects these days. It's going to be even better when they remove the gender, heightist and weightist language too.
'We're looking for someone - presumably alive and likely human - in connection with four stabbings. Keep 'em peeled'.
