Its a crucial turning point for the club. There really is a decent chance of steering well clear of relegation this next season, if a good and effective manager is in charge. The 'rumours ' indicate that Palace are still ecploring transfer options, so we are not really wasting much time.

You may confuse spending power with stature..... Originally posted by Rudi Hedman
No rather than look for someone who wants to better himself I think we should go for someone who wants to go backwards. Wtf is the logic in that anyway? His club in Spain is lower in stature than about 15+ prem clubs.

I posted a while back about it being Silva, it didn't quite happen but we were looking for longevity and not a manager that would be leaving us this time next year if he did well. Dyche is our safe but boring bet. We have interviewed Schmidt already, Pellegrino today & we are speaking with Dyche's agent this afternoon. Clearly we can't actually speak with Dyche as we would need to agree compensation. Hodgson and Monk are not in the running. Walter Mazzarri is the same as what I said about Monk over a week ago, a curve ball. Mainly from the bookies I would have thought. Once again, it's just what I have been told. I am not "ITK", I just get passed this from someone who knows someone. No idea when a decision will be made sadly. If I hear anything I will post it, doesn't mean what I've been told is true but I trust it.
Silva was never going to happen! This is all a case of "according to sauces close to the Club..." Attachment: Sauces close to the club.jpg (53.90Kb)

Regarding pellergino- he hasn't been at club as a manager for longer than 2 yrs. His last 2 job, he's done 1 year and left. Obviously looking at our history with managers , he fit right in. He isn't this long term manager that parish described in his radio interview.

Get alves to 9th is a good achievement but take out the top 3 or 4 sides. The la liga is quite a poor league for competitiveness.
