The way you actually think because you don't like it it isn't a huge part of English culture. Everyone says they feel sorry for the young naive kids but I feel sorry for any generation who as intolerant as yours.

So would you if you had stomach ulcers like me hence the reason for hating eating it and smelling the awful stuff. As for some comments about feeling sorry for naïve kids what the hell as that got to do with bl00dy curry shops etc it really puzzles me how some of the younger posters feel good at slagging off us older members because we do not agree with their thoughts, habits and sentiments. We all are human beings and have our own ideas and thoughts so respect them if you expect us "oldies" to respect you. Remember we have lived a lot longer than you and do remember what it was like 70 years ago so have a different view to you!

Yes lefty propaganda was alive and well in the 70's as well.
I like the odd curry despite the outrageous prices charged but when I was a lad we lived next door to a curry house and in the summer the smell from the alley behind it was appalling. The dustmen used to get upset because the rats got thrown into the truck with the rubbish, when they agreed to collect it. They were nice guys running the restaurant but during the 70's new faces used to come and go on a weekly basis.

I could tell you some other cringeworty stories about Curry houses from my brief stint as a cleaning contractor rep.
