Yes the central midfield is defensive but the wings aren't and that's the mode of initial attack for a counter attacking set up like ours.

That said we would love to have a Loftus-Cheek type but there you go.....Maybe we'll get that type on loan if we aren't maxed out on them.

Hodgson on Eze: "We intend to use him the same way he has been used by QPR, as an attacking midfield player, especially one who is very good at coming from the line into central areas and making things happen".

I believe that's the role RLC had when he was with us

I'm under no illusions that the money for these signings will come from the sale of Wilf.. Based on his start to the season, I'd say its nigh on impossible that we will still have him by the end of the window.

My bet would be Everton, Arsenal or Spurs. Teams know he'll cause a stink the minute they submit a bid, and now he's firing, they'll view it as a worthwhile signing.

He won’t go to the following:

Spurs - Just signed Bale & also have Son, Moira, Bergwyn that can all play out wide.

Arsenal - have Willian & Pepe so no room their & also don’t have the money

Everton - The only possible club but not in Champions League & again have spent a fair bit over the last few years so not sure they could do a big deal in this window.

I think you need to relax, if he does go then it will be for a huge fee & we will sign Sarr as his replacement however I think Zaha will stay.
