I'm saying that the looming possibility of a GE is impacting odds of other events such as the withdrawal of article 50, which outside of a GE context would surely be very unlikely to take place.

Public sector pay rises are all very nice and everything....but? How can a just out going Prime Minister justifying writing checks for an incoming PM to manage? This has to come from existing budgets.... Does Johnson support all this? And look at the behaviour of the Chancellor showing his 'remainer' cards once again.....prepared to do anything to stop a 'no deal'....I expect the gravy train in Brussels awaits him. As dirty tricks are used on you, the temptation to rub their noses in their own ethnics is strong. Edited by Stirlingsays (19 Jul 2019 4.55pm)

Yes the outcomes are anyone’s guess again.

Yep.....it's the establishment punishing its opponents using criteria which could be subjectively applied to many other situations.

Yes Corbyn is a c**t and scruffy but not fat. Have to say I judge people by their weight. Pretty decent barometer. Winston Churchill did quite well mind.

Poor old Father Christmas isn't welcome down your chimney then. Jimmy Carr had that good joke about fat people: A women said 'you're fattest'.....so I said, 'no I'm not you're fattest'.

Edited by Stirlingsays (19 Jul 2019 4.55pm) When they say Public Sector they only mean NHS staff, Teachers and Armed Forces. The "Whitehall" Departments (for example Border Force) have been offered 1% which is what they have had for the last 10 years or so.
