So the unions now want a second vote. Just heard a union member on the radio claim that his union has never asked its members for their views I wonder if the others bothered to. Labour still seem to be all over the place. If you vote Labour you may get Brexit then again you may get Remain. I suspect most voters would prefer a clear pro Remain or pro Brexit position. If you can make sense of this good luck.

I am enjoying watching Dominic Grieve this morning, he is one of a group of 30 or 40 Tory MPs who together with the speaker, and other parties, will never allow a no deal exit of the EU to come to pass. I wonder if Johnson is so barmy as to call an election, lose massive ground to Farage, just in hope of changing the dynamics in the house enough to be able to pass a no deal exit. Will he destroy the conservative party willfully, all in the name of the precious Brexit? Dominic Grieve should be de-selected for this action and previous persistent attempts to block Brexit. This should also apply to any other MP who has sought this route including dear Mr Bercow. To all these idiots contribute to the Brexit process but do not dare block. Democracy has to be followed. Taking no deal off will again weaken our hand and play into the EU’s. Roll on Boris!

Exactly. Beaconsfield voted Remain. The Conservatives campaigned for Remain. So are the ‘Conservative’ ‘activists’ really acting in the best interests of the constituents by threatening deselection if he isn’t more enthusiastic about Brexit. And how long have the ‘activists’ been members?

There is no democratic mandate for no-deal. There is only a democratic 'mandate' to leave the EU. The 'no deal' method was few people's first choice over a free trade deal, however it's closer to the leave mandate than remain....which is what our politicians have currently provided us with. Without our negotiators being serious about a 'no deal' our negotiations are doomed. Once Davies was removed from the fray submission and appeasement seems to have been the policy. On Seeing today's headline I thought Labour had finally decided to back remain properly - a bit late obiviously, the referendum was years ago, when JC was 7/10 of a remianer. However, there current policy is still that they are total unclear on what they want. "Labour is promising to campaign for Remain in a new EU referendum against "no deal or a damaging Tory Brexit". The shift in stance was signalled by Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, as he challenged the next prime minister "to put their deal to the people". But the statement does not explain what Labour would do if the party won a general election. Mr Corbyn has faced calls to move policy in a more pro-EU direction from senior members of Labour. In a letter to members, he said: "Whoever becomes the new prime minister should have the confidence to put their deal, or no deal, back to the people in a public vote. "In those circumstances, I want to make it clear that Labour would campaign for Remain against either no deal or a Tory deal that does not protect the economy and jobs." We have a useless government and a worse opposition.
