Oh yes. Congrats to Novak for winning.

However did he survive the last few years being "unprotected" from this killer virus? I am bemused.

He had a bit of an unfair advantage over the other athletes being unvaccinated tho

Amazing luck considering the oft publicised 100% fatality rate

Still doesn't mean that those who caught it before vaccinations were available were wrong not to get jabbed when they were.

Oh it most certainly does. Not just in their own interests but much more importantly in those of the rest of us.

The primary point was always to ease the burden on the NHS and anyone refusing to participate in a national effort to do that, without an agreed dispensation, was being extremely selfish and irresponsible.

This is from the BMJ

Of 1 297 922 people with a positive test result for SARS-CoV-2 infection in the derivation cohort, 18 756 (1.5%) had a covid-19 related hospital admission.

The selfishness here is from one direction.

Whitty knew the science was being compromised by a political skew. He took the money. He knew some of the Guidance was at best 'flawed'.

I don’t think that’s true.

He may well have deferred to the politicians and the behavioural scientists about how to present and what to emphasise but that isn’t the same thing.

When in a hole you use every tool to get out.

The figures were 1297922 positive tests & 18756 hospitalisations.

Again...those who pushed the vaccines on people saying they are "safe" with minimal side effects just to save their own arse from hiding behind the sofa were also extremely selfish and irresponsible.

We are hearing more and each day first hand the negative effects the vaccine has had on people. From nurses, doctors who can finally start to speak out from what they see now. And for some of those who took it under the impression that it was "safe and effective" and are now paying for it unfortunately.

Just like all vaccines… never ceases to amaze me that people are surprised that medicines have side effects (no secret whatsoever) but of course you’re suggesting these ones have a far higher percentage vs others.

Let’s see your data then.

My point being alot of people were coerced into taking the vaccine by selfish people. They were told it's "safe and effective" and now alot of people have some minor some mild and some dangerous side effects.

In some countries people weren't even allowed into shops, cafes, restaurants, bars, cinemas, schools, workplace etc... unless they got vaxxed. Even tho they knew there would would be side effects they had little to no choice.

I don’t think there’s a right or wrong though. It’s also more nuanced… people had the right (and still do) to decide not to vaccinate, and I’m sure plenty of those were decent, socially aware individuals that also took extra precautions around others as a result. It’s those that didn’t think about others I have more of an issue with.

I think you're right SW. There are also societal reasons for non-vaccination as the demographic breakdown shows. Whatever those reasons are they go deeper than selfishness.

That wasn’t your point.

‘A lot of people’ ‘Even though they knew there would be side effects’

Again, please do share the data that proves these vaccines produce significantly higher numbers of serious side effects than others, or that the side effects were in any way hidden.

A small snapshot of a much longer list of other vaccines with similar low levels of serious side effects also described as ‘safe and effective’

• Flu
• Tetanus
• Yellow fever
• Hepatitis B
• Meningitis

All share similar (rare) serious side effects, including locked in syndrome.

I assume you’ve had at least one shot from that selection before.
