Time has come to refuted loud and clear Hodgson and Dyche rubbish! They don't fit in Palace interests... It's time to decline definitely both nonsenses! Edited by Portuguese (07 Jun 2017 5.15pm)

Agreed. It seems we are consistently managerless / caretakered longer than any other prem side. I suspect that is just our perception. Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Hull, Leeds for example all lost managers at around the same time (if not before in some cases) as us and they have not all appointed managers yet.

Nows the time to be pragmatic and cautious. Take out time and get the right guy, not the first guy.

I posted a while back about it being Silva, it didn't quite happen but we were looking for longevity and not a manager that would be leaving us this time next year if he did well. Dyche is our safe but boring bet. We have interviewed Schmidt already, Pellegrino today & we are speaking with Dyche's agent this afternoon. Clearly we can't actually speak with Dyche as we would need to agree compensation. Hodgson and Monk are not in the running. Walter Mazzarri is the same as what I said about Monk over a week ago, a curve ball. Mainly from the bookies I would have thought. Once again, it's just what I have been told. I am not "ITK", I just get passed this from someone who knows someone. No idea when a decision will be made sadly. If I hear anything I will post it, doesn't mean what I've been told is true but I trust it.

It's daft that we cannot speak directly to Dyche but we can speak with his agent which is effectively the same thing

You are of course correct that we'd need to interview Dyche, unless we've made up our mind that his 'record' speaks for itself and, in his case, we just need to talk terms.
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |
