This post has been merged from a topic called 'Stadium plans' by bexleydave Parish was too quick to show plans and get everyone's expectations up on stadium and academy site .Why he didn't wait until rubber stamped with planning before announcing plans is beyond amateurish.

Any news on this? I noticed at the weekend that Fulham, roughly the same size as us, are building a new river side stand, which is going to look immense. Looks poxy.

We just need to sell Zaha this window and we can think about starting... After all where else is the money coming from? None of the current owners will be developing Selhurst Park.,

Looks poxy. This was announced years ago and they've been planning improvements since Al-Fahed bought them. So far, they've converted 2 terraces to seating areas and added two new roofs over them. They had to do that to stay in the Prem and they moved to QPR for two seasons to do it, which started a chain of events that ended up in Coventry's stadium getting sold to Wasps.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Stadium plans' by bexleydave This whole saga reminds me of the heady day when Simon Jordan 'bought back,' Selhurst Park. We had T shirts printed and very expensive prints of the ground for sale amid much rejoicing
We wont see anything approaching that glitzy spaceship any time soon.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Stadium plans' by bexleydave With all the planning permission issues I'm still hoping we get out and get a brand new stadium if it cant be CP park then another site, failing that I'd be happier for a ground share for a couple of years & try for a Selhurst overall. Yeah I know am a dreamer

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Stadium plans' by bexleydave I am mostly pleased with what Parish and co have done for CPFC, but i am beginning to believe that the Stadium plans will never happen, Everything he says about this project is sounding more and more like just hogwash, if or when we get relegated we will have nothing to show for our stay in the Premier, our turnover in 7 years is i suspect not far off a billion pounds in those years, and we still have a second rate academy, and a ground i love, but its crap compared to many others
