Todays first download is a set by Blue Oyster Cult that was recorded at the Nassau Coliseum, New York in October 1980. This bootleg is in superb quality and is a wicked but short set - almost certainly not the full show. They dont play (Don't Fear The) Reaper - probably the bands most famous song - but they do play a couple of covers of other famous songs - like Roadhouse Blues by The Doors and Born To Be Wild by Steppenwolf. If you like BOC then you will want this one.... Todays second download is a set by Train that was recorded in Hollywood in 2004. This is in superb quality and is a wicked set by the band. This was inspired by the Train bootleg I posted the other day. This is the fourth bootleg by this band that I've posted - and it's a top sounding bootleg. If you like this band, then I thoroughly recommend this one..... Todays extra download is an oldie. This was recorded from a tv broadcast in 1964 - so it's very nearly 50 years old. This is the New Musical Express Poll Winners Concert that was held at the Empire Pool, Wembley in April 1964. For a boot thats this old, this is in superb quality. There are a few bits of chat before some of the artists play - intros etc. Some big names appear on this one - The Beatles and The Rolling Stones take the centre stage, but we also have The Hollies, Manfred Mann, The Searchers, Gerry and The Pacemakers - and more... This is thoroughly recommended... Todays first download is a set by Rod Stewart that was recorded at Earls Court in London 1983. This is in superb quality and has been taken from an FM Broadcast of the show. Some classic Rod tracks on this one like "Maggie May" "You Wear It Well" and "Stay With Me" - this is one for any fans of RS - thoroughly recommended. Todays second download is a set by Dream Threater that was recorded in Finland in 2002. This is in superb quality and is an excellent set. I don't think it's the entire performance as DT shows tend to last a long time... However, what we do have is well worth the download... Todays extra download is a short set by Buckingham Nicks that was recorded in Tuscaloosa Alabama in '74 shortly before they started recording with Fleetwood Mac. This short set was made available by BN's drummer and is a 4 track soundboard recording. Stevie sings her newly written song "Rhiannon" - which of course was later a great hit for Fleetwood Mac. If you like Lindsey Buckingham or Stevie Nicks, this is thoroughly recommended.....
