If you read the article it also praises the way the UK and other European countries have adjusted their booster programmes in the light of exactly this. The remarks about preferring vaccination to infection are in the context of the earlier stages of the pandemic, and not now.

Still doesn't mean that those who caught it before vaccinations were available were wrong not to get jabbed when they were.

Why?, well, here's the thing, 3 senior consultants have agreed that the 'Booster' jab played a prominent part in my, now disability. Why did i have all the jabs, simple, the 'experts' said we had to, because having a property in Spain, it was Jabs or nothing. I hope ALL pro-vaxxers are happy, i'm not, i'm now in a wheelchair for the rest of my life. THINK! Sorry to hear this, but as has been pointed out, you've been very unlucky. Much like others who have life-changing reactions to other vaccines and medication. However, if you're implying that because of your own experience others should not have been vaccinated, I'm afraid I can't agree. Whilst totally understandable in your case, confirmation bias and statistical fact are not good bedfellows.

'Wrong' is IMO not the right term – every right not to get the vaccine, but in doing so you'd have left yourself more open to complications as a result of infection. Vaccine > Immunity = less risk than natural infection > immunity. If you were prepared to take that risk, that's your choice. But don't argue that it's somehow the better option as that's factually incorrect. And finally, just to repeat earlier information According to latest research from various different sources (including Israel) strongest and longest lasting immunity comes from the hybrid of natural infection + vaccination.

Not arguing that point just that those who made that choice shouldn't be demonised let alone have any restrictions placed on them.

It is still fair to say that the choice was between 'better' and 'worse'. But certainly not 'right' and 'wrong'. Nuanced, but important. Shouldn't have been demonised, fair. Criticised and controlled based on the available information at the time (early into the pandemic) sure, understandable. Are there still restrictions now?

Pretty sure there aren't any restrictions here now and Djokovic playing in America indicates they've been removed there too.

However did he survive the last few years being "unprotected" from this killer virus? I am bemused. He had a bit of an unfair advantage over the other athletes being unvaccinated tho

Some might say criticism for believing that information is valid. Events are not being kind for certain stances. Personally, like I said at the time, every adult's personal choice should be respected and I never had one second of criticism for an individual choosing or not choosing what they had stuck in their arm. My ire is reserved for big pharma and what our leaders and by proxy some institutions did and said.....and obviously criticism for those that acted as their bully boys.....mainly media and activists.
