Really bewilders me, but it shouldn't. How selection of the Chairman of the BBC (a really big UK and international news media corporation), is actually a political appointment.

Ironically, from the BBC website,...
"Links between Boris Johnson and BBC chairman Richard Sharp are under fresh scrutiny, following a report that the then-prime minister was told to stop asking Mr Sharp for financial advice.

Mr Sharp's appointment (by Boris Johnson) is under review following claims he helped Mr Johnson secure a loan before getting his job." (BBC, 29.2.23)

This was pushed off the front pages earlier by,.."Rishi Sunak isn't wearing a seatbelt"

It shouldn't be I assume most of us would agree with that.

However I read an article the other I can't remember where but its main point was Labour was just as bad. It listed a whole bunch of Labour party members / supporters who were appointed by the Blair / Brown government to senior positions in the BBC organisation.

What's sauce for the goose...

it's kind of missing the point i was trying to make. In that some of these high-placed appointments are political, and designed to keep close control on media outlets.
I have no allegiance to a party, because that plays into the hands of those who are in control. The elites. Politics is an established method for controlling the masses. And the BBC is part of that.

I disengage, I turn the page.

Just about sums the 'impartial' BBC up.

I await the Action film where brave ISIS women fight off Imperialists and Zionists. Destroying statues wherever they find them in the name of freedom.

It's easy after the event - everyone hears the original but no one hears the apology.
BBC should be made to put it out on social media, on the front page of their website and more - every single time they have to apologise.
We pay their wages - defund the BBC!!!!!!!!!!!!

The beeb doesn't do itself any favours does it?

We won't be getting 'Autumnwatch' to 'save money', viewers are howling, however we will be paying 100s of thousands for people to shuffle playlists.

And Lineker Shearer Murphy etc. who repeat the same tired old cliches week after week.

'He will be disappointed with that'. wow brilliant.

To think I will not be watching Jane Hill is a fate worse than death.

I preferred her to our late Queen.

Does anybody else get the feeling that the BBC is bulletproof ?

that, no matter how shyte they are, nobody will ever give the bbc their day of Reckoning ?

Alex Belfield seems to have been given a medieval punishment for Blasphemy ? do you not think ? brutally condemned for his words. Words that the bbc found a little bit 'hurty'

Yep, I think it's terrible what happened to Belfield.

Shows you precisely who holds the power right there.

a protest of angry people at the offices of RTE , in Ireland.

There is the same flavour of anger here as in the UK.....the national broadcaster has gone so Woke that it is unrecognisable.

Plus all the paranoid bullsh1t around Covid.

RTE have gone so far to the Atheist Multiculti Progressive Feminist LGBT BLM Climate-bore Left ....that they make the BBC look like Oswald Moseley.
