Without revealing who was causing the trouble the BBC yet again use a side story of a local activist to try and play it down and provide an excuse for it. I would just pull all Police Fire and Ambulance crews out of these troublesome areas altogether. Only when the locals realise that support is being withdrawn will they group together and deal with the problem internally. Why should our emergency services put their lives at risk because of these utterly inconsiderate and violent troublemakers.

The "Community" response to the police after an incident: 1. The police over reacted and were aggressive and caused the trouble. or 2. Where were the police why did they not respond sooner I bet it this had happened in a middle class area... zzzzz. My response to the front line coppers: "Tough on police officers tough on the causes of police officers".
