With west brom not getting Sako, and him apparently not fit, they will hold onto Saido (probably)
Meaning Benteke may be our best bet, assuming

A: Everton dont swoop in (but im assuming they will want to sell Lukaku first)
and
B: Benteke wants to come to Palace.

So if he wants to come to us then it must simply be down to cash, yes Liverpool are sily to hold out for £30 plus million but its there prerogative to do that, they dont need to sell him, and its a strikers market at the moment with everyone struggling to get good strikers at a fair price, so really if we want him we should go in "Bal*s deep" so to speak.

To be honest I'm not sure that we can assume anything until either he signs for us or else Steve Parish tells us the score

I guess he'll tell us what was going on behind the scenes once the window's closed - probably on Holmesdale Radio. Until then, telling us the score would be like declaring his hand publicly which wouldn't be too sensible. All we can do is guess what might be happening. The speculation is interesting and the uncertainty is frustrating, but I'll keep on hoping and poring over the media stories - even though I know it's no better than trying to forecast the weather using chicken entrails.

When you look at the transfer dealings so far, Man City paying £37 million for 20 yr old L Sane and £ 27m for 19 yr old G Jesus, Man Utd paying £30 m for 22 yr old Centre back E Bailly who I would like to point out that all three have no Preimership experience. The 30million plus that Liverpool are asking for Benteke seem good money and cheap for Premiership experience.
