Sterilisation is a bit strong. History shoes that's a short road to mass termination.

Stop foreign aid, leave the middle East to work itself out, heavily tax chairty going abroad and implement a sensible immigration policy (including deportation of all non-citizens) and hey presto, the problem takes care of itself.

Yeah, it does seem that way and this is the point I'm trying to make.
In the future when humanity is dying in its own filth, people will ask why no one did anything to avert the situation.
When the population is so great that society collapses, measures that seem extreme now will seem like an opportunity missed.

It'll be interesting to see which policies they arrive at which (apart from Brexit) don't antagonise their voters who usually vote for Labour or Conservative policies.

Farage has released some ideas (policies?). One being scrapping the foreign aid budget.

I am a Labour supporter and believe there is a need for a foreign aid budget. I suspect most, if not all, Labour supporters would feel the same.

I wonder if this policy would be enough for the ex-Labour voters who voted for the Brexit Party to stop supporting them?

What and vote Tory instead? Because if they want Brexit they have to vote for a party who actually believes in the damn thing.

I agree that some foreign aid is sensible....for soft power and influence....and in some circumstances moral in terms of human helping their fellow human.

Hrolf is right about the need for Africa and Asia to reduce their population sizes.

It's for them to sort out and us to refuse settlement here.....which, in the majority of cases, to our detriment we haven't done.

For emergency relief of course, tents food water medical aid totally agree. As for the rest it has been wasted by our government and the governments it's gone to. Rather than give cash we should help these countries with free trade deals let them earn their way out of poverty.

It's not so much about the foreign aid it's more about what would trump their passion for Brexit? If NF decided that all puppies were to be shot would that be enough? Or is their (and the ex-Tory voters) belief in Brexit enough that NF could introduce any policy?

I think perhaps your ability to understand your opposites' positions is a little....how shall we say....under-developed.
