[Link] Good point about the CBI. The media treat them as the sole spokespeople for all business. In fact the CBI is nothing more than a big business pressure group. They deserve to be listened to but then so do the thousands of medium and small businesses.

Is it really necessary to be so insulting. You are a clever person and have a point of view that is to be respected. Just because people don't agree with you we are not all morons. By the way the Tories have increased spending on the NHS by £350 million per week and this was a promise from SOME, not all, of the Brexit politicians and not the government which if memory serves me correct was pro Remain and never made that committment.
Not saying everyone who voted for Brexit is a moron, just that everyone that believed what was written on that bus was.

Agreed. The whole point of Brexit was to "take back control!". That means the UK parliament, not Nigel Farage/every man in the pub, sadly. The continuing ironies of brexit. I would hope the Queen would reply with "no way, bitches" if she was asked.

He is really....really really not right. The Republic of Ireland is in the EU. If Northern Ireland is not in the EU, there must be a hard border with checks etc otherwise trade and commerce cannot function. If Northern Ireland stays closely aligned to the Republic of Ireland in terms of trade etc then the border is moved into the sea between England and Ireland. This is called the backstop. That is very much an issue for the UK government isn't it, because it threatens the Union and creates a border between England and Northern Ireland. "They keep talking about terrorism when its about trade". Its about both. Must be fake news/project fear when multiple former MI5 officers and NI police come out and state it could have devastating results to the peace process. "Most check can be carried remotely maybe some things slide but then they do today." ????? Is he talking about border checks? Is this the mythical "alternative arrangement" that is so mythical and magical that no one can actually say what it is/what technology it requires?
Let's just say you have two customs officers on every crossing. That's 1000 customs officers. A customs officer is not going to into these areas without the Police so that's about another 1000 people needed.

I would hope the Queen would reply with "no way, bitches" if she was asked. Most people voted to stop 'freedom of movement' for obvious reasons. The parliamentary question is there but its secondary because....a good number of the politicians are corrupt and only interested in the gravy when it comes to Europe.....and those that aren't but pro EU aren't interested in keeping parliamentary primacy anyway.
